Thanksgiving Thankfulness!

Psalm 95In honor of Thanksgiving, many around the world will celebrate the day gathering with friends and family and share in the tradition of giving thanks, prayer and a specially prepared feast, and profess specific reasons for their thankfulness to God for the gifts He has given. A day of celebration where many will count the many blessings God has graciously bestowed. A time where family and friends will give thanks for all God has done.

The day filled with an attitude of gratitude, appreciation, and thankfulness for the greatest gift God has given; His Son Jesus Christ who paid the debt for our sins and gave us eternal life as a free gift.

Although many will have had painful experiences throughout the year and faced insurmountable challenges, the focus is not on what did not turn out right only to complain about it, but is on how good God has been in spite of it. Giving thanks for everything He has done, remembering every good thing comes from God. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17).

We have so much to be thankful for. Glorify and magnify the Lord. Let not just today be a day we are grateful and give thanks to God for the gifts. Let every day be a day we enter his gates with praise and thankfulness. Be thankful in everything. And remember the true spirit of Thanksgiving Day; the greatest gift God has given to us. His Son Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life and died on the cross.

From my family to yours, have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Be blessed! –JD

Psalm 95:1-6 “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” (NIV)

God Blesses Me. I Can’t Help But Bless Others Too. Readers, Thank you!

Proverbs 18:4 “Wise words are like deep waters; wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook.” (NLT)

Proverbs 18In the heart of the believer, speech from the wise is like a stream that overflows with blessings. From one who continuously supplies words of spiritual wisdom and knowledge, communicating and ministering grace to those who will hear. They are a blessing.

Every day as I sit and reflect on how good God has been to me. There is never a time I forget to give God thanks no matter what may be troubling me. First thing I do before my feet hit the ground is give praise, honor, glory, and thanks to Him. I don’t do anything on a whim. Although there are times when I find it difficult to get out of bed, there is never a time I fail to give thanks even while lying in bed. Every moment of the day I give God praise. No matter what I go through, I praise His Holy Name.

Many times, my writings are inspired by God. I can’t help when most of the time I have something to say, it is about God. Sometimes after reading the great writings of others I have a desire to write about something different like them, other than what you see. But I realize I am not them. I am gifted differently.

When I set my mind and release my thoughts to voice recordings in preparation to create a post, I’m always reminded of this the most, “A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great” (Proverbs 18:16). My gifts will make room for me. I don’t rush what it is I need to do before God tells me. Nor do I desire to be like anyone else. I use my gifts wisely.

There are times, for days or weeks, I may not have a thing to say. However, I don’t rush a thing. I stay humble and meek and wait patiently. I wait on God to lead me. I take the opportunity to share my thoughts on that given day, with all the strength he gives me.

Oftentimes people ask me, “Where do you get the stuff you write? Does it come from a book or somebody else thoughts?” I tell them, “No it comes from my own thoughts.” Many times I can read a sermon I’ve scribbled from any given Sunday and use that as my guide. To put together what I desire to say after collecting my thoughts.

My thoughts in my writings come from various places, and wherever I may find inspiration. But the things I have to say are derived first and foremost before, during, and after daily meditation. My cousin calls it impartation (smile), I call it anointed. I can see one word from a blog post or a comment on social media and I turn it into a message. I can take knowledge or an event from a mess of my life and turn it into a message.

I often get a number of compliments on things I share. People say they look forward to reading what I have to say. Even when there are times I miss a day. And while there are times when I feel, how can I inspire others when I cannot inspire me? My readers, family, and friends are the ones who inspire me. While I am honored, I never take credit. God gets all the credit. It’s all God. He gives me the strength and power to share his love. If only one person is blessed by my message, I am grateful to God for allowing me to be a blessing.

While I don’t have a spiritual mentor or a godly counselor right now, I have all I need guiding my spiritual growth. The Word of God, daily reading, mediation, and teachings from my Pastor at church guides my spiritual growth. I work every day to share wisdom, inspiration, encouragement, and motivate others. I look to God for godly wisdom. And when the inspiration hits me, I write a simple or long thought about the goodness of God as he leads me.

So when you visit, whenever I may have something to say that day, God is the reason for many of the things I have to say. And although the majority of what you see is about God.  It’s because I cannot help but to always give glory to and honor God.

God is so good to me. God sends people like you to bless me. When you read thoughts I’ve created, it’s my way of sharing with the world God’s wisdom and just how good He has been to me. Your visits mean the world to me. I’m thankful for every opportunity to share with you the gift I’ve been given. Thank you for being a blessing!

God Blesses Me. I Can’t Help But Bless Others Too. Readers, Thank you!

Be blessed! –JD

Don’t Let Spiritual Warfare Keep You from Living Your Best Life

John 5When in spiritual warfare, the battle is fought in the mind, the emotions, and the will. Let a renewed mind, filled with God’s truth be your defense.

You can’t live your entire life running away from yourself. Eventually the journey of life will force you to face the truth about yourself.

When you say, “God I need.” God says, “I will supply all your needs.” When you say, “But God I can’t.” God says, “In my strength, yes you can.”

Misery loves company. There are people who only want to see you fail. Not because of you but because of their past failures. They believe they need company. With God, you’re in great company.

When you’ve been wronged, feel discouraged, or depressed. Know you’re not alone. It’s just a test. God is there. His silence is His answer.

When you pray, God answers your prayers. It may not be in the way you want it to be. God knows what you want. He will supply all your needs. God will answer your prayers according to his will. Let your prayers be not your will, but ask according to God’s will.

The person you see today is not the same person you saw yesterday. God met every need. You’ve got a testimony. Let the world know. Tell it!

Yesterday I felt defeated. Today I’m claiming victory. I decree and declare, I’m walking in victory. My breakthrough is coming. It’s on the way. I’m speaking it. I’m claiming it. I got the victory. Glory!

Life is what you make of it. Make the best of it. Be encouraged. Live your life to the fullest. Be the best in it! Ask and you shall receive. Believe!

Don’t let spiritual warfare keep you from living your best life. Walk in your destiny. Live your best life!

Be blessed! –JD

John 5:14-15 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” (NIV)

Don’t Hide Behind the Veil. Be Changed Inside Out. Be the light!

Moses on Mount Sinai (1545-1555); Gemäldegaler...

Moses on Mount Sinai (1545-1555); Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

To keep the people from being terrified by the brightness of his face, Moses put on a veil.

“Paul adds that this veil kept them from seeing the radiance fade away. Moses and his veil illustrate the fading of the old system and the veiling of the people’s minds and understanding their pride, hardness of heart, and refusal to repent. The veil kept them from understanding references to Christ in the Scriptures” (2 Co 3:13-18). When trying to be saved by keeping the law, they became bound by rules and ceremonies. They were bound by the law.

2 Corinthians 3:13-18 tells us “when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, his face glowed after spending time with God and being in His presence.” The glory of God was revealed on Moses’ face. But it was temporary and in time, faded away. It didn’t expose people to the unveiled glory that was to come. But prepared the people and gave them a glimpse of what was to come. The veil revealed the truth. The complete unveil of God’s glory was to come in the New Testament. Knowledge of Christ removed the veil from the Old Testament.

“Moses emphasized God’s law and justice, while Jesus Christ came to highlight God’s mercy, love, and forgiveness. Moses could only be the giver of the law while Christ came to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17).” “Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. The law revealed God’s nature and will. Through Jesus Christ, God’s nature and will was revealed (John 1:17). Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, God offers us freedom from sin and condemnation. By God’s grace through faith, God offers the gift of salvation.

When we turn to the Lord, we are free to see the glory of God. We are being transformed, from glory to glory, into the image of the Lord. “Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Christ removes the veil, giving eternal life and freedom from trying to be saved by keeping laws. And without the veil, we can be like mirrors reflecting God’s glory” (2 Co 3:16).

Trust Christ to save you. Keep your focus on Him. We, unlike Moses whose glory faded away, have the glory of Jesus permanently. It’s not temporary. It won’t fade away. True meaning of Scripture is no longer hidden from us. The Holy Spirit dwells in us. Through Jesus, not through law, God’s truth is revealed. We don’t need to keep the law by rules, rituals, and ceremonies or use a veil in order to be saved. Jesus death on the cross gave us free access to God. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit has set us free forever.

When Jesus was nailed to the cross, whatever was nailed died on the cross with him. Christ nailed the Law of Moses on the cross. It ended with him. Christ is an end, not to the Ten Commandments, but to the sacrificial law. When he sacrificed his life for us and died on the cross, it ended the sacrificial law. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Co 3:17). Jesus shall make us free. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!” (Jn 8:36) Glory!

Don’t hide behind the veil because of closed minds and hardening of the hearts and cause others to miss the glory of God. Remove the veil. Uncover your face and your minds. Reveal God’s glory. Let your face openly glow. Be the light. Lead others that they may come to the knowledge of Christ and no longer be in spiritual blindness. When others see you, they will know God is in your presence. Your heart, the veil, God’s glory have been uncovered. Let the light shine through you. Let others see Jesus’ light through you. Christ removed the veil. You are being transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. That’s good news!

When I look back over my life and all God has done for me. I shout Hallelujah! God rescued me. I’ve got a testimony. Free from chains that no longer bind me. I won’t wear a veil. My face will be uncovered. People will see God’s glory and my testimony will expose his goodness.

Don’t Hide Behind the Veil. Be Changed Inside Out. Be the light!

Be blessed! –JD

2 Corinthians 3:13-18 “We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (NIV)

Prayer Warriors, Pastors, Clergy, and Others, Please Pray for the Victims

Prayer For the VictimsCharge this to my head and not my heart as I sit with a heavy laden heart. Haven’t been in the news, but just saw the news report of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. My mind is reeling. Destruction across the land again has occurred. Roads, homes, bridges, and the lives of many have been destroyed.

The death toll continues to rise after an estimated 10,000 reported deaths yesterday. Towns and villages have been ravaged, people have been displaced. God we desperately need your presence in this place.

“God you are merciful. Send relief to Philippine Typhoon Haiyan victims. Prayer warriors, pastors, clergy, and others, please pray for the survivors and the victims. God please be with each family in the face of devastation who are now displaced because of this tsunami like tragedy. Please keep watch over them. Protect and cover them.

Send fresh anointing. Jesus, cover them from head to toe. Be the light. Be a fence all around them from the top, to the bottom, in front, on side, and below. Father, dispatch your angels. You know every need. Provide shelter, food, water, medicine, and clothing. Supply every need. Through the efforts of volunteers and hidden angels they may not know, let many across the nation be a blessing to the families through seeds sown. May there be an outpour of blessings and abundance of support for all who have been affected. God, guide them to a place of safety. Assure them they are protected. Let God’s shield of faith provide protection. Send comfort, peace, strength, and healing. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”

Nothing can ever compare to an experience like this or for ones who have experienced storms and devastation such as this. While I am not a victim of such, my families were victims to Katrina and I lived through that experience with them. I know what life was and still is like for them. Nor will I forget victims who have been affected by storms, tsunamis, earthquakes, or any other devastating act of nature across the nation. My prayers, as always, are with each and every family across the nation.

For those of you who desire to help the victims in any way or if you or anyone you know has been affected by the Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, please find an agency near you to show your support.

God bless! –JD

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (ESV)

This is For You, A Mother Who Loves Unconditionally

“My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.” (Proverbs 1:8-9 NLT)

It saddens me when I read, hear, or observe children young and old of today who think life is all about them when they choose to disrespect, disobey, and disregard the value of having their mother and father.

If you were to ask, not all, but maybe one person
Whose mother or father is no longer with them what life is like without them,
They would tell you in a way you would never understand
Because you will never know
until it becomes your way of life when God takes them.

My mother always says, “Give me my roses while I’m here,
Because I can’t smell them when I’m gone”
You may think all is well and take for granted she will always be here,
But wait until she’s gone.
You will have no choice but to live without her
And all will not be as well as you thought once she’s gone.

My mother may be miles away
And while I cannot say what life will be like
When she’s no longer here on earth
I wouldn’t trade my mother, disrespect her, and disregard her advice,
Or disobey her for anything in this world.

Please know God sees everything.
He’s always listening.
And he has no problem taking away
The best ones that they may live in peace with him.

My advice to those, whose mother is still with them,
Cherish her while she’s here with you.
Believe it or not, it is her prayers every day that carries you through.
Don’t wait til she’s gone to stand at her final day of rest and say,
“Mom if I shoulda, woulda, coulda I would take it all back.”
Once she’s gone, there’s no coming back.

Stop thinking you know everything in your refusal to listen,
When she only wants what’s best for you.
Stop disrespecting her to prove a point
When in the long run, in reality,
It will have a long lasting effect on you.

Stop competing with your mother who you think is like your friends.
Your mother is God’s gift sent to you on this side of heaven.
She is not like your friends.
She’s your confidant who you should be able to confide in.
She’s your God-gifted friend.

Don’t let your pride get in the way
and cause you to miss your blessing.
Because one day, when it’s too late
when she’s taken up on the other side of heaven.
You will never get the chance to say
“I’m sorry, I forgive you and I forgive me too.”
You’ll never get the chance to hug or kiss her
Or do the things, in your stubbornness, you refused to do.
Yet, when she’s gone, she still will watch over you.
No matter what you may do to her, she will never turn her back on you.

Just try getting shot, going to prison, lose a job or friend,
Or get physically hurt to the point of death.
Try breaking a leg, stumping a toe, or meet with life’s disappointments.
She will always have your back.
She’ll embrace you with loving arms and will watch your back.

Watch how she will be there for you.
She will never stop loving you
No matter what you do to her or what happens to you.

Mothers will love you beyond death, no matter what you do to us.
That my dear ones, is what I call a mother’s unconditional love.
Cherish and treasure her.

Signed, ME

This is for you, from a mother who loves unconditionally.

Be blessed! -JD

Proverbs 31:25-30 “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household

No Matter What it Looks Like Before or After the Walls Come Down, Shout!

John 18Life was never meant to be easy. The road less traveled is the road you’ll later find yourself that ultimately will lead to your destiny.

Confidence in your abilities lies in awareness of your strengths and potential that comes from within. Fear and doubt are not an option.

Never question your integrity when you know in your heart you’re doing what pleases God. Don’t compromise your faith to please others. Don’t let failures, disappointments, and past pain discourage you. In preparation for the next level, God uses your past experiences to prepare and equip you.

In the battle, realize who God is. The devil is the master of confusion. He’s a liar. The truth is not in him. What God starts, he finishes. When you’re pressed on every side, don’t look back. When confused, don’t fret. The devil takes joy in knowing this. Let him know who God is.

The enemy wants you to believe your bad days were your worst. The devil’s a liar! God knows best. Your latter will be greater than your past. Put on the whole armor of God. Fight the enemy. Face whatever comes your way. Forget what happened yesterday. God brought you out. Glory!

What God says believe it. His word is truth. Don’t believe lies of the enemy. God is absolute truth. He said it. I believe it. That settles it!

God’s love is deeper than the ocean. It is wider than the sea. God loves us unconditionally. His love goes beyond infinity. It is limitless. He can move mountains. He can heal. There is nothing he can’t do. God is infinite in every way. He’s omnipresent, omnipotent. He’s limitless.

There’s an assignment on your life. Walk in your calling. Represent God. Be the light. Have the right attitude. You’re God’s representative. Make a difference. When God birth something in you, no one can stop the breakthrough!

Don’t wait until things become good and the walls come down to shout. No matter what it looks like before or after the walls come down, shout! When life gets you down and trouble is headed your way, in the midst of your circumstances, shout glory!

Be blessed! -JD

Lord, I confess. I was a wretch. I have joy! I’m free. I’m blessed!

English: He led them by a pillar of cloud, ill...

English: He led them by a pillar of cloud, illustration from a Bible card published between 1896 and 1913 by the Providence Lithograph Company (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

In the book of Exodus the pillar of cloud and pillar of fire was God letting the Hebrews know day and night he was with them on their journey to the Promised Land (13:21, 21). “The cloud and the fire were not merely natural phenomena, they were the vehicle of God’s presence and the visible evidence of his moving and directing his people” (Numbers 9:15-22). This was his assurance to them.

For us, as believers, the Bible is God’s assurance. Something the Israelites did not have. God gives us the Holy Spirit to remind us of what his Word says and to guide us each day (John 14:26). In creation of this message, this is what I needed to remind myself of today.

God has an unusual way of sending confirmation, affirmation, and answers to the things he needs us to see in order that we may see Him when dealing with life challenges. His desire is we not look at our circumstances but look to him when faced with challenges. No matter what you’re facing, be steadfast in your faithfulness to him. Depend solely on Him. Look to God’s Word day and night to know he is with you. Assured his presence in the journey will carry you through.

I’m not perfect. I may be strong, but from time to time I need inspiration and encouragement too to help me grow stronger. I feel like I’m loved even if it’s not by you. I’ve been through a lot but I’m stronger, wiser, better. I survived not because of you. It was because of God’s grace I made it through. Because of his unmerited favor, mercy, and grace I can now witness to others and you.

As soon as I opened my eyes today, tears began to roll from my eyes. And I didn’t even know why. I went to God open, naked, unashamed, and found myself talking to Him revealing my vulnerability. Afterwards taking a deep self-examination and self-reflection of what it is I seem to be missing. Time and time again he has been dealing with me these past few weeks trying to show me the problem I failed to see. I wasn’t ignoring him but instead didn’t understand what he was trying to show me. I didn’t understand the answers he sent to the problem I knew I was having.

Much of my behavior was out of fear of my only wanting to be like everybody else when feeling as though I failed in my attempt to be or act like everyone else. I confessed to him how throughout my life I have always longed to be accepted by others, how I felt the need to feel loved, and how I looked for validation from others in order to feel like I belonged. I often looked for someone to tell me I was pretty even when I felt ugly, to be complimented, patted on the back, or acknowledged for things I would do even when I felt I was inadequate and had not accomplished a thing.

I’ve had low self-esteem and felt I didn’t fit in. Being a twin I seemed to have had second-oldest child syndrome and felt I never had a place or fit in. There was my twin who was the oldest, my brother who was the middle, and my younger sister who was the baby. I was the second oldest who really didn’t have a label. This all tells me something about me. Revealing the very things God needed me to see about me. Glory!

It was not until I listened to the words that came out of my mouth today on my voice recorder, I realized who the problem was; it was me. Failing to see before my talk with God I didn’t need others to validate me. From time to time, looking for compliments I didn’t get. I couldn’t look towards the future because it seemed gloomy, filled with darkness, fear of the unknown, and sadness.

Like a cloud looming over me every day. Yet in my quiet time I heard God’s Word say, “By the day, the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people” (Exodus 13:21, 22). God was in front, on side, and behind me regardless of what I didn’t get or felt I needed from people. Assured God was with me. My confession today freed me.

I thought, even when I’m so broken inside I still try. I try to encourage, motivate, and inspire. I try to inspire others and at times fail to encourage myself. My days feel like nights and my nights feel like days, in search of help. Where I get no sleep at night as if it were day and I sleep during the day as if it were night most of the days. I felt like I was losing my sanity. The past few weeks I had no energy. I was confused at times. I needed a moment like this to clear my mind.

As I poured out my heart to you, I recognized how the enemy was working in my head as I’m talking to you. Making me feel as though my body is dead and my outer shell is a tomb my body exists in. I’m being held captive, bound by my own insecurities, indiscretions, sins. I never felt by some I was genuinely loved, growing up I had difficulty showing love. My sister helped and showed me how to love. People may never appreciate, celebrate, or even like me. I now realize this is something I must let go and release. God loves me. After talking to you today I realize I am loved and really am in a better place. Your love is unconditional. You love me with all my flaws. I am more than a conqueror. I survived the storm.

This is my declaration. This is what I’m going to do. I will let go of past hurts, disappointments, insecurities, and those who I expect too much from too. I will keep my mind stayed on you God. I will make it through as I learn to love and forgive myself as does the Lord. I will stop looking for people to say, “I love you” or “I’m so proud of you.” I will build up my self-esteem and my confidence too. I am a strong person by God’s strength. I am beautiful inside and out. I will make it. I will release all doubts. I will work to change some things about myself that you’ve revealed to me. I have taken a deep self-examination and now see the problem with things about me you have revealed to me. I will be the best I can be and do what pleases you. Every day I will work to bring glory to you.

God, I feel so much better now that I’ve gotten these things off my chest…Until next time, thank you for listening. I know I’m blessed. I need to stop playing with my emotions and not be an emotional wreck. I know you are not through with me yet. The enemy cannot take from me what you’ve already promised me. I know you are always there with me. I may not have pillars of clouds or pillars of fire as the Israelites did, but I have your Word that will lead and guide me from darkness into the light just as they were led.

Lord, I confess. I was a wretch. I have joy! I’m free. I’m blessed!

Be blessed! –JD

Have No Regrets. Don’t Look Back. Look At God. He Did That!

Isaiah 43When reflecting on your life, past circumstances will reveal what needed to change. God needed to get your attention, in order that some things change.

You may find yourself filled with regrets wishing you had done things differently. While never understanding why you regret things should have turned out differently.

There were times you should have lost your mind. Yet you made it through. God was there all the time. At times, your pride may have gotten in the way. At which time, you made the best decisions during that time on that day. Nonetheless, when you take a look in the mirror and it is yourself you see. Your past is only a reflection of what needed to happen that you may see. The place God needed to bring you to. The place where you are now, to bring him glory, assured it was God who brought you through.

God could have put you in somebody else place. You could have been in a worse situation where you may have found yourself in an uninviting, unstable place. You could’ve been in somebody else situation. It could not have turned out in your favor, creating a worse situation. God saved you. The blood covered you. Hallelu!

You may never understand why things in life happen the way they do. There’s a reason God does not need you to know all he do. If God showed you everything he planned for you. Or gave you everything he promised you. You would not be able to handle it all beforehand if you knew. Where you are now is where God needs you to be. Say to him, “Lord whatever you’re doing in this season, don’t do it without me.”

When things fall apart, all you’ll see is God. In your brokenness, you’ll see the Lord. All other ground is sinking sand. On Christ the solid rock, stand. You’ve been through the storm and through the rain. You made it. God reigns! “Paul reminds us that though we may think we are at the end of our rope, we are never at the end of our hope” (2 Co 4:8-12).

No matter what you’ve been through, God has been good to you. You made it to see another day, in spite of trials met yesterday. Take a step back. Envision where you were this time, long ago. You’ve come this far by faith. God was in control.

Have no regrets. Don’t look back. Say, “Look at God. He did that!”

Be blessed! –JD

Isaiah 43:1-3 “But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (ESV)
