Just Because You’re Bruised, Broken, Battered and At Times Lose Your Faith In God, Doesn’t Mean You Are A Fake Christian

The Battle JoaynnOne of the most difficult things to overcome is moving on from tragedies of life that can keep you bound. Let go. Let God. You shall live and not die. Never waste time worrying about what you can’t do nothing about. You will only disappoint yourself. Put it in God’s hands. Let Him handle it.

Yesterday was one of the most difficult days I felt I’ve had to face since losing my mother. I accidentally threw away something I felt was my lifeline and couldn’t stop crying. I told God, “My life hasn’t been the same. I feel so alone. I can’t do this. I don’t want to be a Christian anymore!” I vowed I would stop being a Christian as of today. As if it were just that simple.

I asked Him “What am I supposed to do now since I can’t pick up the phone to call my mother to pray for me? Who can I call? Who is praying for me?” My daughter said something profound when she told me, “Mom at least you have a back up to what you lost. It could be worse.” I was so distraught I failed to pay attention to what she said. I woke this morning feeling worse as tears flowed like a river and cried to my sister who hugged and comforted me, assuring me everything will be all right.

I then begin to ask myself, “Am I a fake Christian? Am I not who I say I truly am because I fall apart? And want to give up at the least distraction even when I work to inspire others? Am I supposed to fake being perfect because that’s what others expect of me? Why do I feel guilty when bad things happen to me? Is it not right to be imperfect, helpless, hurt, or broken?” Am I really a fake Christian? The answers are no and no. I’m not. God does not require I be perfect. In fact he expects the opposite. I’m a Christian who sins in need of a Savior. I’m supposed to be lost, fallible, or broken.

Otherwise how can God do his part? How can he put back the broken pieces of my life when I feel helpless because things around me are falling apart? How can he mend my broken heart if it’s never broken? How can he save me if I never need rescue? How can he correct me if I’m a perfect Christian? I can’t be perfect but I can strive to be more like Christ every day. I’m not a fake Christian in no way.

Then I realized this is nothing but a trick of the devil. He’s riding my back so hard I couldn’t seem to shake him all night nor this morning. He must know something major is on the way. It tells me my breakthrough is coming!

Yes, every day is a struggle but what I’ve come to know, once you give your life to God, there’s never a good reason to stop being a Christian. You may falter and fall by the wayside. You may even lose your faith and fall short. Hebrews 6:4-6 tells me a believer need never worry because he will never lose his salvation.

There is nothing we can do to ever make God stop loving us. No matter what we go through, he will be and is always with us. He is the great I AM that I AM. He can do anything but fail. Just because you are a Christian, don’t ever be ashamed of your flaws. Don’t ever be afraid to proudly share your testimony.

God loves us more than we can ever love him, even when we lose sight of him when things are not going well. In times of trouble he is a present help. Faithful is our God. There is nobody greater than our God. Praise the Lord!

Make the devil mad today. Serve him notice. Show him your battles scars. Let him know you serve a mighty God. The battle has already been won. No matter what you go through, let him know you will never give up!

Be Blessed! – JD

John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (NASB)

New Year, New You! Let 2016 Be the Year Nothing Stops You From Reaching for the Stars. It’s Your Time to SOAR!

Never Stop Believing JoaynnWith each new year, we make resolutions to change for the better. We have hopes and dreams, with a desire to do better. We live with great expectations that it will be the year our hopes and dreams will flourish and come true. With God, nothing is impossible. There’s nothing he can’t do.

We may never know when God’s plan will manifest in our lives. Live each day expecting the extraordinary. Believing God for miracles and blessings. God has a plan for us that we shall prosper and not fail. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. God’s will shall prevail.

Not everybody can go with you when God elevates you. Some people and some things are not meant to go with you where God is taking you. Let go of the past. Live like there’s no tomorrow. You are destined for great things. It is your time. Walk in your destiny. Go get your blessing!

Whatever it is you are believing God for, let this be the year you declare it will manifest in your life. All you have to do is believe and receive it. It shall be done. B.A.M.! Blessings and miracles.

I believe 2016 is the year of increase, elevation, promotion, and prosperity for many of us. We shall mount up wings and fly like eagles. I’m declaring, decreeing, and claiming it in the name of Jesus.

Today is the first day of the best day of your life. Don’t settle for less than you know has God promised you. Reach for the stars. It’s your time to SOAR! You are more than a conqueror.

Happy New Year!

Be blessed! – JD

Matthew 7:7-8 “ ‘Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” (ESV)

New Levels, New Devils. You Already Know. Don’t Give Up. Persevere. Stay Prayerful

I Won't Quit JoaynnHave you ever been driven to do something you clearly knew God was leading you to do and the devil did everything in his power to destroy your faith? And somewhere in the back of your mind you begin to lose your faith, giving him too much control as you started to believe it’s not meant to be. But then God sends a ram in the bush to deliver you from what he clearly knows will be. When God says “It is done.” know “It is done.” Believe him.

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on what I find to be the next level God is taking me in my life where it concerns my spiritual walk, my business, friends, and family since traveling this long, challenging journey.

I have learned so many things along the way all while understanding God had to take me through questionable seasons and unexpected storms for reasons I may never understand. Removing things and people who clearly were not meant to go with me. Even the haters who couldn’t celebrate me and found it necessary to hurt and doubt me. Believe it or not, they blessed me.

Just because you finish one task, doesn’t mean you’re done. God’s purpose never ends. He always has more for you to do every day. You just have to be ready. With new levels come new devils. You already know. Don’t give up. Persevere. Stay prayerful.

I say this because a few weeks ago I created a new website for my business with much fear and trepidation because I didn’t have a clue as to what to do, thinking I needed someone to help me through it. But God said, my dear child, now is the time to travel this part of the journey alone, relying solely on me and your faith.

I listened, stepped out on faith, and followed his direction as he orchestrated my every move. Never once looking to gain a thing but to glorify Him in all my doing that I may fulfill his purpose.

Prosperity doesn’t mean monetary but is about growth; spiritually, mentally, and physically. As your soul prospers, so shall everything around you. Yes, there will be fear, doubt, anxiety, and even times you want to quit and give up. But as long as you have faith, with God, you can climb even the hardest mountains and make it to the top.

I have a feeling this year is going to be one of the best years of my life, in spite of all I’ve been through, especially with the loss of my mother two on November 2nd, two months ago. Blessings and miracles have already begun to make their way into my life, overflowing.

I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me next. I’m taking my blessings off the shelf, one by one. I’m believing God for miracles. What God has for me is for me. I will walk in my destiny. No man can curse what God has blessed. God I thank you for your faithfulness.

Never give up on your dreams. Keep trusting God. I did. Look at God! I can’t wait to share my new website with you all in the next few weeks. I hope you will be just as excited I am! Thanks for listening.

Be blessed! – JD

Today is THANKFUL TUESDAY! There Are So Many Things To Be Thankful For. Tell Me, What Are You Thankful For?

Glory JoaynnToday is THANKFUL TUESDAY so I decided to come out of my comfort zone, and do something radical. I promised I would no longer hide behind the walls of my writing, afraid to be transparent to the world. I listened and did what God said when He spoke to and told me it’s time to remove the veil. I’m trying something different, beginning new things, believing God for a miracle. I’m THANKFUL!

Words cannot express my gratefulness to God. I have so much to be thankful for. Through my tears Lord I’m grateful. Grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful. Grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful. Grateful, grateful, gratefulness, is flowing from my heart. Flowing from my heart are the issues of my heart, is gratefulness. I see myself in the future and I’m looking better. What God has for me is better.

The minute you open your eyes, give thanks to God. Give glory and honor to God. His grace woke you up this morning and started you on your way. Thank him for waking you to see another day. God granted brand new mercies, even when you didn’t deserve it. No matter what comes, put your trust in God. Be thankful. Thank God in advance for what he’s done, what he’s going to do, and what he has done. My God is able.

God, we may not know what the day will bring or even if we will make it through the day. Thank you for your faithfulness. Things may not go your way today. Be glad about it. Praise God in the hallway. You may not have all you want but you have all you need. Bless your name Lord. Bless your name. Thank you Jesus.

Sometimes even in the midst of the trial, you have to praise your way through. Rejoice. Know God got you. He promise to be with you through the storm. Be grateful. You’ll make it through the storm.

I don’t know about you but there are so many things I am thankful for. Tell me in your own words, what are you thankful for?

Be blessed! – JD

Colossians 3:15-17 “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (ESV)

When God says You can do all things through Christ, By his stripes you’re healed, No weapon formed against you shall prosper, believe it’s done. He said it. That settles it. Believe him!

God Says JoaynnEcclesiastes 3:1-4 says “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”
(ESV). This has been my life for the past few months as I’ve faced what I consider one of the most difficult times of my life I could ever imagine. At times, I couldn’t gather or share my thoughts as I desired as I found myself in need of strength and comfort in my time of need. After being away from my blog for some time as the result of personal challenges I faced and the tremendous loss of my mother a few weeks ago, I thought I’d build up the courage and strength to share my thoughts with you today. For me, this in some way will begin the healing process and help me move forward as I continue to share the love of God and his wondrous works in spite of what I may have gone through. Please forgive me for the long post. Enjoy.

Three weeks ago my sisters, brother, and me lost our mother unexpectedly and the pain, heartbreak, and loss has been unbearable. Yet we still rejoice. The joy of the Lord is our strength. And the beauty in it all, having my Mother’s wonderful church family with Bishop Tommie L Triplett, Jr. and First Lady Helen Triplett being there for us every step of the way from the beginning to the place we now find ourselves as they prayed for and with us, supporting us, showing compassion and love. Everyone praying endless prayers with and for us, calling to make sure we were okay, checking if there was anything we need, letting us know they are there for us no matter what, showering us with love and compassion in our time of need. God is so good.

Our family was simply amazing. We have the best family in the world. The love, support, and prayers have been endless and is truly helping get us through this difficult time. We love each and every one of you. Friends near and far showered us with love, compassion, and prayers. We thank you. No one can ever understand what it is like to lose a love one, especially your mother or father, until they experience it for themselves. But to have an extended circle of godly people in your life to support, love, and just be there for you is priceless.

My mother’s homegoing service was one of the most unique, extraordinary services I have ever witnessed in my life. Bishop Triplett’s powerful eulogy was a true celebration of her life, her love, and her legacy. It spoke well of her warm, loving beautiful spirit and who my mother was, is, and will forever be in our hearts.

It spoke of her love of God and others, her character, her undying passion to save souls, her humbleness. She was unique. Loved by many. She left a legacy that will always be remembered. Yes Bishop Triplett, she “did it the right way.” She didn’t need a family member, friend, or love one to help her make the transition. She had the one and only person she needed. She had Jesus.

We may not have understood why she chose to do it that way, but God knew “she did it the right way” as Bishop Triplett said. I may have cried as if it were my last breath and couldn’t contain my heartbreak or tears, but after Bishop’s eulogy there was not another tear. I was finally at peace. My family as well as many in the church found peace that surpassed all understanding. Bishop Triplett’s celebration of my mother’s life showed us exactly how it should be done. We don’t need family, friends, or love ones to help us reach our final destination. God is all we need to make the transition.

That day was life-changing. It made me think, “What will people say about me when I leave this place?” I want my life for God to speak for itself. I want to leave a legacy just as my mother did. I want to be remembered exactly as she was. I want to carry the torch and represent my God just as my mother did. God showed up and showed out. The Spirit of the Lord was all up and in United Fellowship FGBC the day of my mother’s homegoing. Thank you God for your faithfulness.

This may have been one of the hardest battles my family and I have ever had to face. But what I know the Lord our God hear prayers of the righteous. We’re covered by the blood of Jesus. We thank you in advance for answered prayers. God be with us.

I am truly at peace. The Holy Spirit has given me the peace of God within me. Bishop Triplett’s powerful eulogy pierced my heart and soul. I know I’ll miss my Mom deeply like I am right now. I know there will come a time my tears won’t stop. But right now, in spite of all I’ve been through and will go through, I am assured God is with me and He will be glorified. All is well with my soul.

Thank you Bishop Triplett and First Lady Triplett, United Fellowship FGBC, and our family and friends for your endless love and support. We simply could not have made it this far without you. You changed our lives. My Mother is smiling down on us saying, “B.A.M. (Blessings and Miracles)! It is well.” To God be the glory!

My words are a reflection of what I am sensing in a strange way. Something is going on inside me that I can’t explain. I can’t shake this feeling. I sense God is moving me in a new direction, even in the midst of my grief. The Holy Spirit is speaking to me in a way I’ve never experienced before. Leading me in a new direction to fulfill God’s purpose. I can never know what God has planned for me, nor where he is taking me. But what I am assured of, it will be for a greater good. Glory to God!

I may have been through what I consider one of the most devastating events of my life in the loss of my mother but what I know, God is speaking through my pain to move me to the next level. Know this, no matter how painful it may be in the loss of a loved one, God is calling your attention to something. Listen for that still small voice. God wants to move you to the next level. The Word shall go forth. Pay attention. Move forward.

Be blessed! – JD

Someone’s Fighting A Battle You’ve Already Won By Grace. Don’t Take Life For Granted. Be Thankful For It

Won By Grace JoaynnLife can be a struggle. And at times it can be difficult to get through the day when faced with situations that leave you feeling empty, weary, and hopeless.

We can never know what a person is going through when looking in from the outside. We don’t know how many times they have prayed to God and feel their prayers are not being answered.

Nobody knows how many tears they’ve cried, how many times they’ve cried out to God for help. How much anguish, both spiritually and mentally, they have faced when their heart is grieved beyond comprehension.

Yes, we may see the beautiful pictures and smiles that tell a different story. But in the inside they are hurting. While the world never needs to know all your secrets. It should be kept between you and God. Never judge a book by its cover.

Each of us are going through something. Be hopeful in the Lord. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15). No matter what troubles you, know God is a healer. Whatever you’re going through, know God is with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Life may be hard. Say to yourself, “Yet will I trust you God.”

God hears the prayers of the righteous. Prayers of the righteous avail much. Pray without ceasing. Pray for everyone.

Be blessed! – JD

Psalm 37:25 “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” (AKJV)

Serving God is An Honor. It’s A Privilege. Be Thankful To God For the Privilege of Being In A Ministry

Blessed By GodForgive me for the long post but the other day in my time of reflection, I woke with some things that were unsettling in my spirit and thought I’d share.

I believe that God works through his people to accomplish impossible tasks that may seem impossible to us. God knows what it takes to do what he’s prepared for us. He often shapes us with experiences and training that prepares us for his purpose.

All Christians are called to ministry. However, being in a ministry doesn’t mean we are entitled to serve ourselves and in the process, claim a title. It means we serve God by serving others. We are speaking and serving directly on His behalf to others. We trade selfishness for selflessness. We bring glory to God. We bring honor to Him and not ourselves.

We have no idea what God has in store for us. In our service, we must be obedient. We must be careful not to become complacent or comfortable in our daily routine when placing priorities on things we did before we made the decision to serve God. We must put into action what we learn from his Word. Faith without works is dead. God wants our obedience. We remove “self” out of the equation. We change our mindset. We change the way we used to do things in order that we may bring glory to him.

Too many times we make it a point to get to work on time, never miss a day, and push ourselves beyond limits to get the job done. But choose not to be as dedicated and obedient to God as we are to our friends, family, employers, or loved ones. Failing to realize had it not been for God, we wouldn’t have a job. Or anything else for that matter.

If what we know about God to be true, there are no excuses why we choose to do what we do because we have been conditioned to do it. Yes, we learn. But we must also grow. We change our priorities to accomplish tasks He has prepared for us and positioned us to do. And if in the beginning, we know what God’s Word tells us is true, we will begin the process by doing, not what we want, but what he desires we do. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Cor 5:17)

When we learn and are assured of what God desires from us, in our service, we must walk the walk and talk the talk the right way to do that which pleases him. Walk with, and not away from God. When you talk with God and walk with God, you can become useful to Him. Welcome him into your thoughts and share your feelings, your concerns, and your dreams. Walk with him and put what you learn from his Word into action.

Blessed by God is not by your works, not an entitlement, nor can it be earned. It is a gift from God. You’re blessed to be a blessing to others. When God blesses you, don’t curse your blessings because you did not honor him when you chose to complain. Be a blessing to others. Glorify Him.

We cannot serve two masters. Make a choice. Either you will serve God or serve yourself.

Be blessed! – JD

Colossians 3:23,24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”(ESV)

Welcome to Wisdom Wednesday Morning Inspiration. Make A Declaration. Count Yourself Worthy!

I Won't Quit JoaynnIf anyone were to ask me what does it feel like to be me, I would tell them it’s nothing like what haters say about me. The opinions of others do not bother me. In fact I welcome them. Because they’re not facts. They are just opinions. Have a seat haters. God set me free! Thank you Jesus!

One of the hardest things to accept is not being accepted as you are by others. Love yourself. Accept it. Don’t let it frustrate your purpose. You may not be all you need to be. Thank God you’re not the person you used to be.

The devil wants to keep you in bondage. He wants you to believe you don’t have what it takes to live for God. The anointing breaks the yoke of bondage. Don’t be afraid. Refuse to stay bound. Live for Jesus. When you face difficult situations and it seems you’re under extreme attack, don’t give up. Run the race. God will send a ram in the bush.

Live like there’s no tomorrow. Forget yesterday. Put the past behind you. It’s a new day. Have no regrets. God is not through with you yet.

Say this with me, What God has for me is for me. I want what God has for me. I won’t quit or give up. I will walk in my destiny no matter what.

Be blessed! – JD

Thanks to My Pastor Bishop Thomas. He Did It Again. Join Me and Do Something Different. Step Outside Your Comfort Zone. Do Something Radical!

New Places JoaynnFor the past few weeks I have been distracted to the point where I’ve been slacking and have lost interest and concentration on things I looked forward to that used be a part of my normal routine that would give me joy. I would wake with a plan every day only to be bombarded with distractions that were so time-consuming it would leave me frustrated, in pain, to the point of wanting to give up. It was never-ending. Especially when it affected the things I loved doing.

And to top it off, it interfered with my meditation and time spent with God. I lost focus on God. As well as working on my blog. I was a sin and a shame. I started slacking in my prayers. I managed to read my Bible, in a hurry. Saying simple prayers. Forgive me God. I’m working on this.

Something was amiss with me. I couldn’t put my finger on it and thought it was very unusual for me. You see, weeks prior I had this burning desire to do something different, out of the ordinary. Something I’ve never done before. But too many distractions left me uncertain. I started having doubts and begin to question is this really what God desires for me? Is this where he is truly leading me?

But something happened a few weeks ago at church that left me speechless and affirmed I was on the right track. Thanks to my pastor Bishop Thomas’ powerful sermon titled “I’ll See You Outside” confirming it was time to see new places and do something different. He said, “You got some new things, new friendships ahead of you but you got to get outside. Get out of the routine and go outside. God has better for you. Meet some new friends.” I was like, how did he know? Well, he’s just the messenger. God knew.

I have been hiding behind walls afraid to be transparent to the world far too long. God spoke to me, letting me know it’s time to remove the veil. It compelled me to do something out of the norm I believe would change my life forever. I decided to do something radical. I declared I wouldn’t spend another day bound by fear, afraid of the unknown. I’m going to get out of my usual routine of doing what’s familiar and do something different. Even though I am very shy, I took it up a notch and left all my insecurities behind. I took to Periscope to share my love of God and in the process managed to also share some inspirational messages.

God never intended for me to fit in so I won’t spend time trying. I will stand out! I am the unique one. I’m not like anyone else. I will no longer lose life doing time. I’m going to get outside of my normal self. I see myself in the future and I’m looking better. What God has for me is better. So I decided the next day would be the day I begin new things, believing God for a miracle. I declared miracles and blessings!

Like my Bishop said, “Life goes to the pioneers, trailblazers, originators, ground breakers. People who do things unusual. Success, accomplishment, advancement goes to the innovators. Those who think differently.” My, my. He’s talking about me. I’m going to press forward and finish things I’ve started with confidence. I won’t be afraid to self-publish out of intimidation.  I’ll see you outside in new places. I’m meeting new people.

Please pardon my uniqueness. I don’t have a click to fit in. I roll all by myself. I can’t please everybody. I don’t need anyone’s help. So if you see unusual things from me, it’s because I’m doing something different. I’m on a roll. I’m doing something radical. I’m going new places and will meet new people along the way. “I’m winning!”

Thanks for supporting me and visiting my blog even though I’ve been gone for a while and have been missing in action. That’s it for now but if I think of anything else, I will keep you posted. In the meantime, I want to leave you with this.

Calling all pioneers, trailblazers, originators, and groundbreakers. God has better for you. Step outside your comfort zone. Take it up a notch. Occupy all streets. Do something radical!

Be blessed! – JD

James 1:23-25 “For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.” (ESV)

September Pain Awareness Month – Day 10 of 30. I’m Still Fighting For A Presidential Proclamation

September is Pain Awareness Month--The month of September is Pain Awareness month and as many of you may already know since we are in the 10th day of September, it is a time where many across the nation will help raise awareness of issues surrounding the need for effective treatment for millions of Americans around the world who suffer with pain.

As a semi-silent pain advocate and one who is truly passionate about the cause of pain awareness, I try my best to do what I can when I can to make a difference. Before I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and a host of other conditions that cause me to suffer daily with chronic pain, I could not imagine what it would be like to be in pain indefinitely. Or knew of anyone who experienced what I find myself experiencing every day for over the past 10 years. Even so, I cannot imagine one individual that does not know someone who suffers with pain.

What I have learned throughout this pain journey, it does not discriminate. It can affect anyone at any given time without any warning. You never know when it can happen to you. And sadly, I find it is not until someone experiences pain at a level beyond comprehension that will last past infinity, they may never understand the significance of the need for effective treatment and care. It is my hope one day, new treatment and new research develops that will help other American pain sufferers find some form of normalcy and have a better quality of life as a result of their findings.

There are a number of organizations that offer information and resources to consider during the month of September. Please take a moment to see how you can get involved. It can be something as simple as calling a friend or love one you know who suffers with pain and letting them know they can count on you for support just by checking on them from time to time. Love and compassion can go a long way.

Lastly, you can visit websites of various pain organizations like U.S. Pain Foundation, National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association (NFMCPA), or Power of Pain to get involved with planned events and activities. And by all means don’t just get involved during the month of September but show your support throughout the year. You don’t know how much your support, no matter how big or small, can change a life.

As for me, I have been fighting for a first-ever Presidential proclamation naming September National Pain Awareness month for the past four years. I am still hopeful one day God will send a divine connection in answer to my prayer and the proclamation will be signed. I won’t give up. I will continue to fight until a proclamation is received.

As such, I created a video with the help of my family in 2011 titled, If There Was Less Pain, I Could…. in response to a campaign held by the former American Pain Foundation (APF) organization. The video, which can be found on YouTube, represents my message to President Obama detailing, in a poem, what my world would be like and what I would do, if I could, if there was less pain.

The door in the video symbolizes people like myself who hide behind the mask of pain. It speaks volumes of what we have come to know as the “hidden epidemic of pain” or the “invisible disability” no one knows about or wants to get to know about. Although you can see the door, you can’t see the person behind the door, longing waiting to be free; free to be ME. Please feel free to check out my video when you get a chance.

In the meantime and in between time, if you haven’t done so already, I urge you to become a part of and show your support for the cause and help millions like myself raise awareness. Join me and help spread awareness and support my efforts to secure a first-ever Presidential proclamation by sharing my YouTube link as well as my blog link on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and any other social media outlet. Thanks for your support.

Let’s make this one of the best Pain Awareness months ever. Show your support. Wear PURPLE!

Be blessed! – JD

Seek God’s Face and Not His Hand. Don’t Wait Until Trouble Comes To Be In His Presence. Seek God’s Help Beforehand. It Will Prepare You To Handle The Test

Seek God's FaceToo often when our backs are against the wall, we allow pride to get in our way and will lose sight of God. We start looking at our circumstances and begin thinking of ways to find a temporary solution to the problem. We rely on ourselves and only seek God for what he can do for us with the wrong motives.

We think we have things all figured out and will handle it on our own. We seek God’s hands and what he can do for us instead of seeking his face to be in his presence. Forgetting he already knows what he will do. We get in his way and will interrupt what he is already prepared to do. He’s waiting on us to trust him and believe he will do what he promised.

Didn’t God say he will supply ALL our needs? How much more proof do we need? If he said it, believe him. He has already worked out what we need before we ask him. We may think desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures but it doesn’t mean we have to give in to temptation when thinking irrationally. We have to learn to trust God when our backs are against the wall. Be in His presence every day before trouble comes.

Don’t try to work things out on your own. Don’t just run to God when you experience trouble. Seek God’s face to be in his presence beforehand. He will handle it.

Be blessed! – JD

Don’t Mess With A Woman Of Immovable Faith. She Will Let Nothing Stand In Her Way. She Will Walk In Her Destiny, With Faith The Size Of A Mustard Seed!

Immovable Faith JoaynnWhen I first started this unknown journey I used to cry out to God “why me”? I didn’t understand why bad things kept happening to me. I lost many things along the way and lived to have pity parties every day.

God kept putting me in strange situations to test my faith. And when nothing made sense to me I said, God how much do you think I can take?

All the time he simply laughed at silly me and said, through my strength you have what it takes to get through. I have something good in store for you. Keep trusting me no matter what you go through. And when I thought nothing good could come out of anything, each and every time he sent a ram in the bush.

One day, I decided to look outside of my circumstances and not think it was all about me but about God. He would be glorified. I realized trials were for a divine purpose. It was preparing me for the next level. Through every trial He would get the glory. God had a greater plan for my future. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

No matter how hard I fought against it, I had no choice but to answer the call. It was in this moment I began thanking God. While I may never understand the season I am in, I am assured it is for a greater purpose. God will show himself strong on my behalf. I will be steadfast. The devil may come from the north, south, east, and west. I will keep the faith. I know God will take care of it.

Many times I may feel inadequate or am not all I think I need to be in order to be used by God, my faith tells me He approves. God knows me best. He knows my strengths and weaknesses. I don’t ask God anymore, “why me?” I wake with a renewed spirit and say, “why not me?” Why not use me to share your love with the world. To proclaim the gospel to everyone. And show them how good you’ve been to me. God, you are simply AMAZING!

Trials are part of the refining process. Testing of our faith produces perseverance. In times of suffering, rejoice in the Lord. God is good.

Where you are now is where God needs you to be. He’s preparing you for your destiny. God does everything with excellence. Trust the process. When God wants to take you to the next level, there may be a wait before something happens. Be patient. Wait on God. You’re in transition.

A woman of immovable faith won’t let nothing stand in her way. Her faith in God is unshakeable. No matter what comes, her faith is unstoppable.

Be blessed! – JD

We Are All Flawed. Don’t Be Deceived By The Misconception Of Who You Are Because You Fail To Accept The Truth About Who You Are

Decepton and Misconception JoaynnOne of the biggest misconceptions we have about ourselves is failure to accept the magnitude of our own flaws when in denial of who we truly are and putting blame on others because of the misconception of who we choose to be.

To know you have truly healed from the past or even the present and you have been transformed by the Word of God is to be pure in heart, not evil in intent to destroy or hurt someone for your own selfish gain to feel better about yourself.

You choose to love the naysayers, haters, gossipers and those who desperately want to prove they were right about you because they haven’t changed and are in denial about themselves, bound by their own indiscretions.

They will always find time or a reason to remind others of who you used to be and may never acknowledge who you no longer are. And in all cases it will not matter since it is not a requirement to live.

Until we learn to accept the frailty of humankind and understand we are not an exception to the rule but are a part of it, then we will understand how not to live with the deception but grow and learn from it.

Know The Difference Between True And False Discernment. Don’t Fall Prey To Masked Deception

True Discernment JoaynnGod doesn’t use ministers of the gospel or witnesses to pick and choose who the Word applies to. It speaks to every situation no matter who you are. God’s grace offers salvation to everyone (Titus 2:11).

The gospel is for everyone. However, it is up to you to recognize when it does and not blame others because you fail to see what is in the heart of another when blinded by your own flaws.

Although all of our situations are different, the Word in any instance applies to each and every one of us and can be applied to every area of our lives; if and when we allow it. People often confuse true discernment with false discernment marked by a false perception of reality, criticism, judgment, lack of trust, lack of faith characterized by an inability to love with God’s love. Tarnished by past experiences if they possibly may not have truly healed.

Stop misinterpreting the message when you don’t want to hear or admit the truth about yourself. Learn the difference between true discernment and false discernment. The gift of discernment is the ability to recognize what is genuine from what is deception; what is of God from what is not of God. Know the difference. ‪#‎randomthought

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (ESV)

As Long As You Are In The Right Standing With God Don’t Worry About Where You Stand With Others

Right Standing With God JoaynnAs believers, when we are properly aligned with the Word of God, we are able to recognize the false pretenses of others who desire to dismantle our character with gossip, lies, and deceit when constantly in negotiation with the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy in their failure to do the right thing.

However, one of the ways we are assured we have grown when faced with opposition is when we choose not to respond to negative, false misrepresentations of the truth opposite of who we are. The minute people point out weaknesses of others and judge them unconducive to who they themselves claim not to be, is an indication of their own hidden weaknesses that ultimately expose who they truly are.

Actions speak louder than words. When someone offends you and you choose not to respond, it doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you are growing. Because if you can reflect once upon time when you would have given them a piece of your mind but instead chose to ignore the offense and pray for them, you have changed. You have been transformed. You have grown stronger in the Lord and choose to love others in spite of who they are. And the best part God, not you, will be glorified. ‪#‎randomthought

Colossians 1:9-10 “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (ESV)

God Shifted Some Things In Your Favor To Get You Where You Are. Don’t Regret Change. You Couldn’t Remain the Same Person

God I Thank You JoaynnWhen you are in transition and your breakthrough is getting close, you can tell because you’re not your usual self. You get easily aggravated. You may feel helpless. Things that never use to irritate you will and people who never mattered to you matter.

Don’t let it discourage you. God is shifting you. When it seems like you are at your worst, God sends a miracle. A ram in the bush with provision. Praise and worship God. Keep your mind stayed on Jesus.

Before you could get to where God was taking you some things had to change. You couldn’t get to where you are by staying the same person. Thank God for molding you into the person you now are from who you used to be. You couldn’t remain the same person. God shaped you to prepare you for your destiny.

Say this with me, God I thank you for molding me into who I am from who I used to be because had it not been for who I was I wouldn’t be who I am today.

Be blessed! – JD

I Thought Of You and Said A Prayer For You Today. I Asked God to Give You Rest. Let Not Your Heart Not Be Troubled. It’s In His Hands. He Will Handle It.

I Thought OF You JoaynnMy heart has been heavy and I still am in shock since hearing of the senseless killings in Charleston, South Carolina that occurred last week. Hearing of all the precious lives that were lost made me weak. It literally brought me to my knees. I fervently prayed. God hears prayers of the righteous. I ask that you do the same.

In the face of adversity and uncertainty, stay strong. My prayers are with the families and victims of this senseless tragedy. All lives matter.

I thought of you and said a prayer for you today. Father I come to you in the name of Jesus not asking for anything and thanking you in advance for everything. Go through every house. Place the enemy under our feet. Cancel every assignment. Command him to flee. Whatever the enemy sends return it back to the sender, unsigned, sealed and undelivered.

The nation is in an uproar. Too many senseless killings. There is too much going on in this dark, cold world. Let there be peace, unity. The Lord is our shepherd. Heal families who have lost loved ones and are hurting everywhere. We need you Lord now more than ever.

God please help us. We are living in the last days. If you don’t know Jesus I pray you seek and find him today. He’s coming back soon. Stay prayed up. Come into a right relationship with God. Be ready when Jesus returns.

Father you know what it is we need. Dispatch your angels. God send healing, deliverance, strength in your provision. Let us not lose trust in Your Divine Providence. Place a shield of protection around us. Let no hurt, harm or danger come. We are covered by the blood of Jesus.

I come against every lying tongue that rise against us shall not prosper. We are more than conquerors. Send fresh anointing as we make our way. Lord Jesus have your way in this place today. “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil” (1 Peter 3:12).

Father God I thank you, glorify you, and magnify your name. Bless your name Lord. Bless your name. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. #PrayForCharleston #CharlestonStrong

Be blessed! –JD

Psalm 23: 1-6 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (ESV)

Hello Fear, Let Me Introduce Myself. My Name Is Victory But I Go By Faith. I’m Fearless. Nice To Meet You!

Hello Fear JoaynnTo my old friend Fear, sorry I sent you away. I could no longer live afraid every day. I had to take a stand. I couldn’t keep myself bound. Always fearing what would happen every time something in my life changed.

I had to let you go so I could move forward. And not be afraid to live a better life God promised would be rewarding.

There was a time in my life when I couldn’t sleep at night worrying about any and everything. I couldn’t rest. I was so tired from so many sleepless nights and kept wishing one day it would end. Oftentimes I blamed myself because I was so busy trying to figure things out on my own. Only to find when I did, I failed miserably at it.

I sought God only after I made a total mess of things. I knew God but my faith was fair-weathered and flaky. It fluctuated depending on how things would go in my life. If everything worked out as I thought it should, my faith was enormous. But when things didn’t work out in my favor, my faith went out the window.

As I got older and found myself yearning for a deeper and closer relationship with God, I noticed how some things began to change in my life. I found myself studying and meditating more on God’s Word. I learned I didn’t need to pray outlandish prayers for God to hear me. I learned how to simply pray and thank God in everything, no matter how big or small. My faith in God grew stronger.

One day when my faith was greatly tested, I decided to use the strength God gave me and turned fear into faith. I had to release fear that day. I sat in darkness and sang out loud to myself, Fear, fear go away. Sorry, you can’t come back another day. One day I will happily report with praise I found a new friend. What a friend I have in Jesus!

It took me some time to learn this but I thought of and keep reminding myself daily of this: Fear paralyzes. God promotes. Don’t be crippled by your circumstances. Get out the boat. Your steps are ordered by the Lord. Walk by faith and not by sight.

I am no longer afraid of the dark. I have a new faith walk. I reintroduced myself to fear with my new name. I said this to him: Hello Fear! Let me introduce myself. My name is VICTORY but I go by FAITH. I’m fearless. Nice to meet you! I’m fearfully and wonderfully made. I am VICTORIOUS!

Take it from me, when nothing makes sense have no fear. Activate your faith. Operate like it’s already done. Believe God for supernatural blessings.

Be blessed! – JD

Psalm 56: 1-4 “Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me; 2 my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly. 3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” (ESV)

God I Want To Take A Moment To Not Ask For Anything And Simply Say Thank You For Everything

Brand New Mercies JoaynnThank you Lord for loving me even when I fail you. I love you. The greater our burdens, you give us more grace. Thank you for your saving grace.

Thank you for loving me. I’m amazed by the depth of your love for me. It is as wide as the ocean, deep as the sea. It is a never ending story. Your love is steadfast and never fails. It is everlasting. Thank you Jesus.

Lord you are good. Your mercy endures forever. I’m grateful. Let me decrease; let You increase that I may bring You glory. As I walk with you, let my light shine so bright that when people see me, they see Jesus in me.

I just want to take a moment not to ask for anything and thank you for everything. Thank you God. Your grace kept us. We’re still standing. You woke us in our right minds. You started us on our way. You granted brand new mercies when we didn’t deserve it. We give you all the glory. Lord if you never do anything else for us, you’ve done enough. Lord we thank you.

Be blessed! –JD

Psalm 100: 1-5 “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! 3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! 5 For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (ESV)

Consider Trouble A Blessing And Not A Curse. God Is Preparing You For Your Future. Declare, I’m Walking In My Destiny. I Got The Victory!

You're A Victor JoaynnWhen you go through the unspeakable you will find out who your true friends are. You will know who God is and learn who you truly are.

See, before storms in life present itself to us we have an idea of what we are made of. But when the storm comes, we cannot imagine who we may become. We may rely on people to approve, accept, and acknowledge us believing this is what we need to become who we will be. However, none of it is necessary.

When going through the trial and our faith is tested, we learn about ourselves. God shows us who he is. We may never understand the season we’re in but we learn of God’s power and sovereignty while in it. He is preparing us for what he already knows; our future. He’s pruning, refining, shaping us for what’s to come. Be grateful.

Adversity reveals character. Trials make us stronger. Thank God for the trials and the people who left you. Everybody can’t go with you. No matter what season you may find yourself in, God is all you need. He approves of you. Believe.

Be blessed! – JD
