Consider Failure a Life Lesson

Fail Road

Failure is a symptom of unrealistic expectation. It is not a person. If we set our hearts and minds on God, He’s real. His Word does not fail nor will it return void.

Oftentimes we confuse the idea of failure with the reality of our perception when things don’t go the way we expected. While it is true we all have habits or some false sense of perception we deal with that may present obstacles to getting where we need to in life. We must be cognizant of the role we play in making it happen and the role God expects us to play to trust that he will allow it to happen in our life.

If we took a moment to think about what kind of life we would have if we sat endlessly waiting for something to happen. What do you think would happen? If we lacked effort in taking the initiative to be held accountable to do things that would please God. How else would we be able to please God? We make the mistake of expecting God to bless us in his mercy and goodness towards us. And find ourselves frustrated when we think he has failed us. We then blame him when things do not turn out as WE expected. When in fact it really may be exactly what God expected.

To set the expectation that others are to assume what we are thinking and are conscious of what we need, is not in alignment with God’s will. We must not assume others know what it is we don’t’ have and what it is we need just because we don’t have. Does it mean others are supposed to assume what you are thinking? Based on the assumption they knew what you needed and be held responsible for what it is you were lacking because they know what you are lacking. More so, what if you didn’t take the initiative to help yourself but expected others to help you because they knew you needed help? And you expected them to do what it was you failed to do in the absence of calling and asking for help.

When we fail to take responsibility in the part we play, failure will be prevalent in our relationships when we hold others accountable for our mistakes. It will diminish our relationship with them. We also will hurt our relationship with God. God is a Good God. He will do it anyway. He will clean up our mistakes.

God helps the helpless. And will help us overcome when in despair. In all things we are not able to help ourselves but God’s help is available to everyone who seek him in prayer. He will give us strength to do things we are willing to do that may seem impossible. He will make all things possible. But we must be responsible.

God does not expect us to do everything but he does desire we do some things for ourselves. Otherwise, why would we need his help if we totally depended on ourselves? On our own we are helpless and with difficulty we cannot operate alone in this thing called life. With God’s help we can. God helps the helpless. He is the bread of life.

God expects us to do things that please him. But we must be held accountable for our actions and stop playing the victim. God wants your all. He doesn’t want you to put the blame on others but wants you to walk before Him and be blameless when you fall.

God requires our faithfulness in our service and desires we use the gifts and talents he blessed us with. Make use of your gifts and talents to enrich the lives of others instead of waiting on others to make a life for you in it. God will get the glory when you do. He will reward you.

God desires you to be the answer and not depend on others for an answer to a life you feel you may have failed because you chose not to answer. Pay attention. Don’t choose to become a victim because you denied God’s provision. When you take matters into your own hands, don’t complain when others fail to do what you assumed they would do. Not realizing God was there to do what he promised he would do. Or get mad when you could have easily taken a stand to do for yourself and looked to God from whence cometh your help.

Demonstrate God’s love and compassion when helping others. Help yourself too. But don’t get angry or disappointed out of your own selfish ambition when others fail you. Don’t allow selfish motives to define the reason you make assumptions regarding the expectations of others. Be God’s mouthpiece, help yourself, encourage and help one another.

When you are called to do things you may not feel like doing, do them without effort as they will become a part of you. Make a decision to please God in all you do. Because God created you to be a blessing to others as he blesses you. God expects your obedience and your follow through.

God orders our steps. He leads us in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. We may not understand everything. Let God lead the way. And follow the path he designed for you today.

One of the greatest things in life can be found in failure. It can be for your own good. Failures demonstrate God’s grace and his love.

Therefore, make a declaration. Accept failure as a life lesson. Don’t blame others but take responsibility for your actions. Let God have his way.  Trust God.  Don’t let your failures keep you from serving him.  Thank God for the blessing.

Consider failure a life lesson.

Be blessed! -JD

Proverbs 16:2-3,9All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do,  and he will establish your plans. 9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” NIV

Count It All Joy!

It’s a good day!
God is in the blessing business every day.
These words come straight from my heart.
I’m excited. And I’m led to say.
God has a supernatural blessing coming your way.

There’s nothing the enemy can do.
No matter what he thinks he’s stolen from you.
Whatever you have lost, God will restore back to you.

God’s Word is evidence. He promised. He is faithful.
God will do just as he says he will do. He’s gracious.
Wear the full armor of God. Take up the cross.
God will restore all that you’ve lost.

Life may not be what you want it to be.
But where you are now is right where God needs you to be.
Let God use you that his purpose may be fulfilled.
Even though you may have gone through what seemed rough the past few years.

When troubled and pressed on every side.
Don’t look to the left or to the right.
Look to God from whence cometh your help.
God will make every wrong right.
He will make every failure success.
God loves you. You’re blessed.

You may have had trials.
Suffered for a little while and made some mistakes.
God can still use you.
He’s God of all grace.

When God allows something to happen that you didn’t want to happen.
He’s trying to remove the thing in life you think is bigger than Him.
And he won’t let that happen.
Rejoice! God is love.
You’re a beacon of light sent from heaven above.

The closer you are to God, the closer you are to your blessing.
There’s a lesson to be learned in every trial and testing.
Cling to your faith, hope, desires, and prayers.
Know that God will never leave you. He’s always there.

You have peace with God.
You’re reconciled with him.
There is no more hostility between you and him.
There is nothing blocking your relationship with him.

Hope for today no matter the strife.
Today is not yesterday. You’ve been given brand new life.
You’re on your way back.
Not because of you, but because God’s got your back.
He will never fail you.

It’s a new day.
God is in the blessing business every day.
Speak deliverance, increase, healing on your health, in relationships, and your finances.
Declare and decree supernatural power of God’s blessing.

Just hold on.
A breakthrough is coming your way!
Get ready for your miracle. It’s on the way.

God said it. I believe it. That settles it.
God’s got a blessing with your name on it.

Count it all joy!

Be blessed! –JD

James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
