Trust God’s Sovereign Will

MP900182538God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever think or ask. He will give you the desires of your heart if you honestly seek him when you ask.

We may feel overwhelmed when a situation seems humanly impossible. God makes all things possible. Trouble doesn’t last always. Don’t underestimate God’s power. He’s all knowing. He’s Sovereign. He’ll show you the way out. He’ll work it out. With God we can overcome. It’s already done.

Let your focus be on God today. Concentrate on his power, even when you can’t see through troubles you face. Trust God. He has all power. That’s all he needs. He will meet your every need. His will is sovereign.

Be happy for others. Don’t desire what they have; even if you don’t have what they have. Be content. Be grateful to God believing because of his grace, all that you have is a blessing.

When God opens one door, he closes another. When he births something inside you, you don’t need validation from others. God will see you through the process. Deliverance is yours because of his Divine Providence.

Oftentimes we confuse our own desires with God’s will. Don’t confuse your will with God’s will. If things turn out in your favor but are contrary to what the Word says, it may have happened because of what you wanted and not what God said.

When you do or ask God for something in any given situation, you will know what God’s will is without hesitation. If what you ask will glorify God and build the kingdom, you won’t need any explanation. It will help you grow spiritually. It will not be something that goes against what the Bible forbids. Nor will you do it unwillingly. You won’t have to wonder, if it is unrighteous. When it concerns the will of God, it is righteous.

Moreover, if God doesn’t give you what you ask for, it may be that it’s not his will for you to have it. However, it could also mean that you may need to wait longer to have it. God does not give us specific information or direct answers to what he will do. He requires we make the right choices in whatever we do.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).” Commit your ways to him and he will give you the desires of your heart. Because God’s will is good and perfect and will not deviate from what his Word says. It won’t change. He will do what he says.

Do as God desires, make the decision to not sin or resist His will. Make choices that are appropriate. Choices that are in agreement with his will. Walk closely with the Lord to do as he desires. Let his will be your will in what he desires.

God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. He will place his desires on our heart when we walk closely with him. If what you desire can be of benefit and the Bible does not speak against it, this is your answer to make the right decisions. Follow your heart in it.

Renew your mind. Don’t conform to this world. You then will be able to test God’s will by his Word. Humble yourself in spirit. Truly seek God in all you do. God will reveal His will to you.

God’s Word instructs and guides us. He surrounds us with godly wisdom to make it through any season. He sends prayer warriors to pray for us for unknown reasons. God desires to impart in us, the fruit of the spirit to begin the process to mold us, in the image of his Son. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22, 23). It will transform you. Let His will, not your will, be done.

Be blessed! -JD

John 15:3, 4 “Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” (ESV)

What Seed Are You Sowing?

There are days when I find myself asking “Why?”
Why must people hurt others with deception and lies?
What makes a person do such a thing?
Knowing how much heartbreak and pain it can bring.

What is it we are not sure of when the Bible tells us this?
God is not mocked in that he cannot be deceived.
For whatever a man sows, he shall also reap. (Gal 6:7)

We may fool ourselves when we hit or miss.
And for our actions, think we will not be punished.
Regardless what we may think, we cannot fool God.
He will not ignore what we have done.

We are not exempt when we impose our foolish will.
There will be a consequence.
Our behavior will not go without punishment.

Remember God is all knowing.
Nothing can be hidden from his sight.
He sees and knows all our wrongs and rights.

Ask yourself this.
What kind of seed are you sowing that you may be blessed?

Are you planting seeds to please God that you may reap?
Blessings of God’s joy, love and peace?
Are you planting right to receive a harvest in the afterlife?
An eternal reward; God’s gift of everlasting life.

Or are you planting seeds to please your own desires?
By doing the exact opposite of what God desires you to do?
To only reap what you planted; the seed sown by you.

“For as he thinketh in his heart so is he…” (Proverbs 23:7)
It is the things he will do as his thoughts cause him to be.

In the end, we all must give an account to God for what we’ve done.
We will account for our conduct in this world, whether right or wrong.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad” (2 Co 5:10)

Let the Word of God be your conscious and your guide.
Plant the right seed that you may reap good fruit in the tree of life.
Live to please God. Sow good seed.
Plant acts of kindness and good deed.

So that your efforts are rewarded as you prosper and grow.
Fruit of the Spirit can be an example you follow
To determine what kind of seed you are to sow.

These are the attributes of a true Christian life.
And are the fruits that we are to produce in our life with Jesus Christ.

What seed are you sowing?

Be blessed! -JD

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law.”
