To Women Everywhere, This One is For You! I Applaud Your Strength. You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. You Are More Than A Conqueror!

wpid-img_20150415_160738.jpgStrong women are beautiful human beings and can hide their imperfections so gracefully. You can never tell what they are going through just by looking at them. They will wear the weight of the world on their shoulders and still find time to nurture, love, and be there for others. At times, putting their needs on the back burner and putting first the needs of others. They will go to the end of the earth for loved ones and won’t never stop being there for you. They are loyal friends to the end. They will be there for you, until you give them a reason not to.

When God created us, he knew beforehand we had to be strong. He was confident no matter the trials and tribulations or any obstacle, through his strength we would endure the storm. Your infinite strength, godly wisdom, and strong character defines who you are. Phenomenal woman is who God created you to be who you are.

If no ever tells you how beautiful and how strong you are today, I am telling you on this day. You are a gift from God. Your strength is found in every weakness even at times when you secretly know you are falling apart. You wear grace well. It looks good on you. Thank you for your strength and courage. I applaud you.

We can never underestimate the strength of a woman just because she may look like she got it all together. With all she goes through, it helps to be considerate of her feelings. A kind word, simple words of encouragement can make her day. Just letting her know she is loved will go a long way.

Sometimes even the strongest woman isn’t always as strong as you think. She’s only human. We all have a cross to bear. Show love. Words of encouragement, random acts of kindness will inspire the heart.

Be blessed! -JD

“Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.”

Ignorance is Bliss But Can Also Be Infectious. Speak In Love. Positivity Can Be Contagious

Triumph Over IgnoranceWhoever says ignorance is bliss should also add it can be infectious. Sometimes, silence in response to ignorance is counterproductive. Toxic people will contaminate your immune system and spread germs of hatred, discouragement, and negativity. Decontaminate infected minds with words of godly wisdom and positivity. Knowing when to speak in love can be contagious. Your words of wisdom will triumph over ignorance.

I am a realist. I don’t pretend when the truth needs to be told. Nor do I sugarcoat things to get the approval of others. When I speak the truth, oftentimes my mouth gets me in trouble. Not because I say the wrong things or am insensitive to the feelings of others. But because I can’t sit idly by and watch people wallow in denial of their own truth only to justify their behavior. I believe we all should strive daily to grow and do better.

Sometimes I try to share positive, encouraging words of wisdom when I encounter someone who constantly have nothing nice to say. But occasionally the words may not come out the right way. When I become aware of what I am doing, I take a moment to sit in silence and think about what I will say.  I will share my thoughts and do my best not to offend anyone intentionally.

I try to say things in the right way to help and not condemn others. I mean well. My desire is that you become aware of and not ignore your lack of knowledge as a means to justify your wrongdoings. I only want to help bring awareness to what you say and do to acknowledge how it affects others, in the hopes it will guide your decisions.

We are all God’s children. He loves each of us the same. Just as God does not find fault in us, neither should we find fault in others. Negativity breeds negativity. Ignorance breeds contempt. The less you know about someone doesn’t give you a license to pass judgment on them. In my opinion, I believe it can be a great opportunity to get to know them better. When you know better, you do better.

Ignorance is bliss if you’re happy not knowing the truth. Knowingly not doing the right thing is not an excuse. When you know God’s Word, you have knowledge of what God commands. Have common sense. You mustn’t waver in your obedience to him. When you treat God’s Word as if it were human advice is like ignoring who God is. That’s not a good way to live. Respect for God begins with wisdom (James 1:5).

When you choose to follow your own direction instead of God’s, you’re saying to him, I would rather not listen to what you say and choose to ignore right from wrong. I want to keep doing what I know is not right even when it’s wrong.

Be careful when offending God out of your own ignorance. If you humbly submit yourself and ask Him for help, he will generously give you guidance. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight” (Proverbs 9:10). Have godly wisdom. Do what’s right. Fear the Lord. Make a choice to think positively, not to tear down but encourage others.

Think before you speak. Consider the impact of your words before spreading negativity. When you don’t understand why people do what they do or choose to criticize them, it’s not fair. God’s wisdom goes beyond common sense. He will give you wisdom. Trust him.

Knowledge is power. Take time to learn. Ask God for wisdom to guide your choices. Then use what you know to do better, be better, and grow. When you know the difference between right and wrong, choose to do right. God will be pleased.

Be blessed! –JD

James 1:5, 6 “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the seas, blown and tossed by the wind.” (NIV)

Stay focused. God has given you the power and authority to trample on snakes and scorpions!

wpid-img_20140405_101554.jpgWhen we have godly wisdom, wise counsel from loved ones will make a difference. And will lead us to make wise decisions even when we aren’t aware of the reason.

I had an epiphany the other day when talking to my mother and couldn’t help but share my thoughts, along with her words of wisdom that touched my heart.

My mom told me a story about a man who found a snake ill in front his home. He took him in and cared for him and nursed him back to health. Once the snake was well and back to his old self, he turned around and bit the man. The man asked him, “Why did you bite me after all I did for you?” The snake answered, “You knew who I was before you helped me.” End of story.

When people show you who they are, believe them. No matter how much you may help them, you can’t change them. Be careful of the people you let in your inner circle and ones you associate with. Everybody is not your friend. Be conscious of and know the difference between acquaintances and true friends. Use godly wisdom and discernment. God will show you who they are. There is a ram in the bush (Genesis 22:13). It is the Lord your God who goes before you. He is with you. He will not forsake you.

Snakes in the grass will slither and try to sneak up on you only to hurt you or frustrate your purpose to keep it from being fulfilled. Don’t try to handle it yourself. Do as Paul did when the snake bit him. He did not suffer any ill effects (Acts 28:3-5). He remained faithful in his service to God and allowed Him to intervene. God protected him. Believe. Fully trust in Him.

Be prepared when the snake comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Arm yourself with prayer. We have power over evil spirits. Put on the full armor of God. Don’t be afraid of snakes in the grass. Fight the enemy with the word. God is sovereign. Take him at his word. He’s faithful. Let him intervene. He can and will protect you from any and everything.

One of the greatest challenges when your faith is tested will be who you choose to trust. The enemy will persuade you. Resist. God got you!

Do your best to help others. Stay focused. God has given you the power and authority to trample on snakes and scorpions. God’s wonder works in and through you. Snakes can be stopped in their tracks too. Remember, God has all power. Trust in Him no matter what the enemy tries to do to you. You will defeat the enemy. God will see for you.

Be blessed! -JD

Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (NIV)
