Look At God! He Brought You This Far. Aren’t You Glad He Didn’t Leave You Where He Found You

How Amazing JoaynnAt times, when life becomes a cycle of uneventful circumstances that leave us helpless and hopeless only to become weary, in despair, we may tend to lose focus and sight of God.

Our spiritual life gets turned upside down and we began to feel the impact in our spiritual walk. We break silently, not having much to say, if nothing at all. Yet we still praise God even in our moments of silence; in the midst of turmoil.

Not that it means we are isolating ourselves from those we love. We just do not need any distractions. Praising God for the blessing. In quietness and confidence is our strength (Isaiah 30:15). Reading the Word, prayer, and meditation are essential. It is in this time, we really need to hear from God. And will require time with him and him alone.

No matter how many times we may fall by the wayside or lose our way, we always find our way back to Him. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. His grace is sufficient.

Take it from me, life can be a struggle on the regular. And sometimes it can be difficult just to pray. But never stop because simple prayers will get you through the day. It can be as simple as, “Thank You Lord.” Persevere and watch how the power of prayer will manifest in your life.

You may have been through some things. God brought you a mighty long way. Aren’t you glad He didn’t leave you where he found you? How amazing! Praise God. He is simply AMAZING!

No matter what life brings on any given day, never stop giving God thanks. Our God is faithful. Be grateful.

Be blessed! – JD

No Matter What Man Says, It’s WorkABLE. God Says All Things Are Possible. My Faith Tells Me It’s WinnABLE!

wpid-img_20150224_224025.jpgRain may pour like a river. God never promised there wouldn’t be storms. He promised he will be with us and see us through the storm. Keep the faith. Hold on.

Today I received some very disappointing news that at first caught me off guard to the point where I couldn’t think and immediately became confused asking myself, “Now what?” After regrouping not asking why but accepting the fact that it was out of my control, I thought, nothing comes as a surprise to me anymore because life is life and can change in a split second, oftentimes either causing us to give up hope or persevere.

I’m not going to lie, at times I am very tempted to give up on my dreams when faced with challenges unexpectedly, only to feel incapable mentally or physically. But God is ABLE. His love is undeniABLE. He’s indescriABLE. uncontainABLE. He’s more than capABLE. Therefore, anything is conceivABLE, obtainABLE.

I choose to persevere. I won’t give up easily. I will put in the effort, no matter what I see. I believe all things are probABLE. I have more evidence for than against; the Word of God. Anything is doABLE. Regardless of what man say, it’s workABLE. My FAITH tells me it’s winnABLE. I am a strong-minded person. and count it unacceptABLE.  My FAITH in God is unbelivABLE. I am unshakABLE. With God I win. My God is ABLE. Amen!

When God closes one door, praise him in the hallway. He’s opening a new door filled with miracles and blessings. Praise God. Thank you Jesus!

Thank God for what you went through. You had to go through it to get to where you’re going to. God has a greater plan. Trust his plan. When there is nothing else you can do, Stand!

Be blessed! –JD

There’s So Much to Be Thankful For. Thank God. Count Your Blessings – Past, Present, and Future

wpid-img_20150210_085418.jpgLife has a funny way of being very unpredictable. Leaving us uncertain of what’s to come. When we think we got a handle on it and are prepared for it, something out of the ordinary happens.

We will encounter trials, heartbreak, pain, and unusual challenges that may cause us to stumble in our faith. We may fall by the wayside but we remember to never cease praying. We fall down. We get back up. Understanding, God is always with us no matter what.

We may never know what to expect day-to-day. Give thanks to God always. Wake every day believing God for a miracle, no matter the storms. Praise God. He will see you through the storm. No matter how difficult life’s journey may be, invite the presence of God into any situation. Give glory to God. Count your blessings – past, present, and future.

Make a declaration. Let God know you’re grateful. Simply say, “Lord, I Thank You.” Great is thy faithfulness. Tell him, “God, we may not know what the day will bring. We thank you in advance for everything. You’re greatly to be praised. We give you all the glory.”

Be blessed! -JD

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (ESV)

I Love the Lord! Praise God. Woke With a New Song in My Heart. Thank you Jesus!

wpid-img_20141027_112258.jpgWoke with a new song in my heart. “O how I love Jesus, Oh how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus. Because He first loved me.” Thank you Jesus!

Every day I wake up is God saying, “I’m not through with you yet.” And every day the devil see my feet hit the floor, it makes him furious. Oh God she’s up!

Yep! I’m up. I’m wearing the full armor of God. Suited for battle. I’m armed and dangerous. Ready to fight the battle I know is coming. Get thee behind me, Satan! “But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” (Matthew 16:23).

Sometimes you have to will yourself from the very things that will distract you from hearing from God. Stay focused. Keep your mind stayed on Jesus.

We can become easily frustrated when things don’t turn out as we expect. Or we can praise God for protecting us, in spite of the rejection. God said, everything is going to be alright. I know. When I prayed for you, he told me so. He said tell them, it is so because God said so. No matter what happens today, don’t let anyone steal your joy. God gave it to you, not them. Do not be discouraged. Be of good courage.

God I thank you for who I am and who I used to be, because had it not been for who I was, I wouldn’t be who I am today to walk in my destiny. Thank you Jesus!

People may never understand why I talk about God so much. Jesus thought enough of me when he died on cross. I can’t help it. I love him!

Be blessed! –JD

John 17:24-26 “Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them. Journey, This One is For You. I May Have Met with Trials; But God. I Thank You For the Journey!

wpid-img_20141019_205038.jpgDear Journey,

Trials didn’t break me. God brought me a mighty long ways. I’ve seen some good days and some bad days. Greater is on the way.

Some things you go through will not feel good. Praise God anyway. It is designed for your good. God is preparing you for a breakthrough.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. You can do all things through Christ Jesus. Praise God. You’re more than a conqueror. It’s your season.

Whatever it is you’ve prayed for, it shall be done. God promised. You will receive it. It’s already done. God does not fail. It shall be done.

Declare God’s goodness no matter the situation. Walk by faith. Be patient. Don’t let what you see in the natural affect your faith walk. Persevere. Don’t give up.

Journey, this one is for you. I may have met with trials; but God. I thank you for the journey!

Be blessed! –JD

2 Corinthians 12:9-109 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (ESV)

Thanks to Bishop Thomas’ Powerful Sermon on Sunday, God Led Me into a New Season of Fresh Anointing!

wpid-shared.jpgAfter thinking about how the devil worked my nerves the other day, I woke not feeling well, but excited because I was looking forward to going to church the following Sunday. Then after receiving some disappointing news, my whole attitude changed. I became weary and started complaining to God, again.

Asking him why I was suffering. I didn’t understand what it was I had done to deserve such punishment. I began to look at my circumstances and cried out to God, in response to the things I felt were hindering my faith in Him.

It wasn’t until after I began to confess my own indiscretions and flaws, that I witnessed the power of God. I asked for forgiveness and decided at that moment to give it all to Him. I wouldn’t complain. I made a declaration to get to church somehow, some way. I started making phone calls expecting miracles and blessings. God sent an angel. I made it and found myself in the house of the Lord. I was overjoyed. It was such a blessing.

Bishop Alexis Thomas preached a mighty word about the trees. His sermon came from the book of Genesis 2:16-17 and was titled, “Look At All These Trees.” He said, “Stop grumbling, murmuring, complaining, and thank God for all the trees. You may not live in the house you want, or have the job you want, or drive the car of your dreams. Look at all these trees. Trees of health, family, grandchildren, and financial blessings. Thank God for what you do have and stop complaining because of the things you don’t have.” Praise God for the trees.

The next day, I woke and couldn’t get the message out of my head. The sermon spoke to me. It confirmed the very things I heard God say the previous morning. Bishop prophesied. God led me into a new season of fresh anointing. He shifted something in the atmosphere. I couldn’t even explain the feeling.

No matter what the week may have sent me through, it was something about making my way to church to hear a message from the head of the house. And receive a word from the Lord to stir my spirit and change my entire perspective.

The most difficult chapter of our life can be the greatest story told because it’s when we discover God’s purpose. It becomes our testimony. Transformation took place. My mind was renewed. No matter what the enemy tried to do, I was assured nothing would stop what God promised me.

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I’m praising and thanking God in advance for the trees. I’m filled with the Holy Spirit. I’m believing God for a miracle. I moved from the complaint window to the claim window, declaring good stuff over my life. Although I may not feel good every day. I’m claiming healing, no matter the strife. I may not have all that I want but I’m mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially blessed. Thank you Jesus.

I’m claiming and naming my blessings. I speak increase, favor, and prosperity. I’m walking in victory. I may be troubled on every side, yet not distressed; perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). I’m glad I didn’t let nothing, not even the devil stop me from getting to church that Sunday morning. It opened my eyes. It put everything in the right perspective. I left with a glimmer of hope. I was thankful.

Thank you Bishop Thomas for Sunday’s powerful sermon. I won’t receive God’s grace in vain. I am a believer. I will not ignore God’s message nor what he is saying. Knowing that everything I do is observed by others, I will live to be an example. I am a minister for God. I will not doubt. I won’t complain. The word shall go forth.

Next week may be the start of a new week, but don’t get weary. Stay in the word. For in due season you shall reap a reward if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). Keep God at the forefront. The enemy will come in like a flood. God will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 6:9). Stand firm in your convictions. The battle is not yours. It’s the Lord’s. Thank God for the trees. As for me, God has been good to me. I will praise him for planting some good trees around me.

Be blessed! -JD

2 Corinthians 6:1-111 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. 3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; 5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; 6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; 7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; 8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; 10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.” (NIV)

Lord, I Won’t Complain. I Will Rejoice! I Have Been Faithful Over Little Things; Assured Greater is Coming

wpid-img_20140819_074308.jpgToday was a quiet day of reflection on the things God needed to reveal to me in this journey I’ve traveled which seemed like forever. Not realizing when looking over the last year how much God has moved in my life. I realized there were some things he needed to perfect in me before revealing his ultimate plans for me.

All I could do was thank Him over and over for the journey even when I didn’t understand it. July marked one year I began making progress in my endeavors and thought because of my limitations I was not getting anywhere. When after reviewing my records, in actuality I realized God brought me a mighty long ways. I’ve made progress because of God’s divine favor. Today I’m rejoicing and looking forward to all he has in store for me. I’m praising God in advance for the victory.

People often say they are blessed not realizing the magnitude and power in their words. However, I am a living witness of the power of God’s Word. I am a living witness of how faithful and loving my God is, in spite of the many challenges I’ve faced over the years. Doubtful at times, feeling inadequate as though I could not be used by God. The devil is a liar and the truth ain’t in him! God is using me. I’m still standing.

I’m more than a conqueror. I am a victor, not a victim. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. And when I say I am truly blessed, I know that I am. It is all because of God’s faithfulness. He’s my rock, my redeemer. Lord, I won’t complain. I will rejoice! I have been faithful over little things; assured greater is coming. “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master’” (Matthew 25:23).

Praise God through the process. He’s preparing you. Don’t get weary in well doing. In due season you shall reap a reward. Greater is coming!

Be blessed! -JD

Psalm 145:15-19 “15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. 16 You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. 18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. When doubt tries to enter the recesses of your mind, have no fear. Send it packing! Tell it, “God lives here!”

wpid-textgram_1397056495.pngGood morning! We may not see evidence of God working in our life instantly. He’s performing miracles on our behalf, sight unseen. Have Faith the size of a mustard seed. Believe!

Don’t let doubt or fear cloud your judgment today. Think positively. Have faith. Praise God! You’re here. Some didn’t make it today. God’s merciful. His grace kept you. He made a way.

Believers, doubt has no place in your life. It doesn’t live here. When doubt tries to enter the recesses of your mind, have no fear. Send it packing! Tell it, “God lives here!”

Be blessed! -JD

My Prayer for Today

I woke up with this on my heart, armed with God’s mighty weapons of warfare today. Because the enemy’s in full force and he didn’t come to play.

He’s come to kill, steal, and destroy. We mustn’t let him steal our joy. He knows we are believers. We’re covered by the blood. He knows we are children of God.

He’s pulling every trick in the book to divide us. That he may separate us from that which God has predestined, foreknew, and preplanned that concerns us. But he doesn’t stand a chance. No weapon, formed against us shall prosper.  Devil, you’ve been served notice today. We bind you under our feet as I pray:

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus not asking for anything. But thanking you in advance for everything. Command the enemy to flee. Place him under our feet. Cancel every assignment. Erase self-doubt. Go through every house. Lord God, send healing, deliverance and provision in our time of need. Father you know what it is we need.

Meet every need in your provision. Let us not lose trust in Your Divine Providence. Dispatch your angels to protect us. We are covered by the blood of Jesus. I come against every lying tongue that rise against us shall not prosper. We are more than conquerors.

The race isn’t given to the swift, battle to the strong, but to those who will endure. Bless your name Lord. Father, I thank you for brand new grace and mercies. Thank you for waking us up on this side of heaven. Thank you for loving and blessing us. Your love endures forever.

Lord, help us to recognize and discern when people come into our life they are there to perfect us, because they are not perfect. You will make our way perfect. God, I thank you for perfecting in them and me, in the midst of our trials even when we cannot see. The Spirit of Holiness that dwell within me. Send fresh anointing as we make our way. Lord Jesus, have your way in this place today. Father God I thank you, glorify you, and magnify your name.

I pray this prayer, in Jesus name. Amen.

Whew…. Now I feel better! Praise the Lord.

Be blessed! –JD

God’s Grace is Sufficient

In quietness, as I meditated on the Word of God, I couldn’t help but think how this life would be so hard, if it had not been for the Lord on my side. How could I operate in this thing called life?

I poured out my heart to Him. And these are the words I said to him:

I was restless last night. I didn’t sleep well.
My body ached all over and I didn’t feel well.
God, I am thankful. You gave me another chance to stay.
I am alive. You woke me up today.

You placed the enemy under my feet.
You protected me and my family while we were asleep.
You sent angels to comfort and guard me.
We were surrounded by tranquility and peace.

I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed because my heart was full.
All I could think, “God is good.”

You are so good to me.
I am blessed even when I can’t see.
I may have more month than money.
But there is no lack. I am not hungry.

I have clothes on my back, shoes on my feet.
I have a roof over my head and food to eat.
I may be tired but I’m not spent.
I am thankful for a portion of my health and strength.

God, your Word is my daily bread.
It clothes and feed me. I’m daily fed.
You sent your Son Jesus to die for me.
His blood was shed on Calvary.

Jesus is my daily bread.
He is everything to me.
I won’t complain.
I will cherish the life you’ve given me.

Thank you for saving a wretch like me.
I once was blind but now I see.
I’ve been given another day to bring you glory.

I am overjoyed. Grateful I am amongst the land of the living.
Thank you God.
Your GRACE is sufficient.

Make a declaration today. In spite of what you are facing, let God have his way. Give thanks. Praise Him. Worship and adore Him.

He didn’t have to let you stay. Thank Him for another day. Let the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart be acceptable in the sight of the Lord.

God’s grace is sufficient.

Be blessed! -JD
