Look At God! He Brought You This Far. Aren’t You Glad He Didn’t Leave You Where He Found You

How Amazing JoaynnAt times, when life becomes a cycle of uneventful circumstances that leave us helpless and hopeless only to become weary, in despair, we may tend to lose focus and sight of God.

Our spiritual life gets turned upside down and we began to feel the impact in our spiritual walk. We break silently, not having much to say, if nothing at all. Yet we still praise God even in our moments of silence; in the midst of turmoil.

Not that it means we are isolating ourselves from those we love. We just do not need any distractions. Praising God for the blessing. In quietness and confidence is our strength (Isaiah 30:15). Reading the Word, prayer, and meditation are essential. It is in this time, we really need to hear from God. And will require time with him and him alone.

No matter how many times we may fall by the wayside or lose our way, we always find our way back to Him. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. His grace is sufficient.

Take it from me, life can be a struggle on the regular. And sometimes it can be difficult just to pray. But never stop because simple prayers will get you through the day. It can be as simple as, “Thank You Lord.” Persevere and watch how the power of prayer will manifest in your life.

You may have been through some things. God brought you a mighty long way. Aren’t you glad He didn’t leave you where he found you? How amazing! Praise God. He is simply AMAZING!

No matter what life brings on any given day, never stop giving God thanks. Our God is faithful. Be grateful.

I Thought Of You and Said A Prayer For You Today. I Asked God to Give You Rest. Let Not Your Heart Not Be Troubled. It’s In His Hands. He Will Handle It.

I Thought OF You JoaynnMy heart has been heavy and I still am in shock since hearing of the senseless killings in Charleston, South Carolina that occurred last week. Hearing of all the precious lives that were lost made me weak. It literally brought me to my knees. I fervently prayed. God hears prayers of the righteous. I ask that you do the same.

In the face of adversity and uncertainty, stay strong. My prayers are with the families and victims of this senseless tragedy. All lives matter.

I thought of you and said a prayer for you today. Father I come to you in the name of Jesus not asking for anything and thanking you in advance for everything. Go through every house. Place the enemy under our feet. Cancel every assignment. Command him to flee. Whatever the enemy sends return it back to the sender, unsigned, sealed and undelivered.

The nation is in an uproar. Too many senseless killings. There is too much going on in this dark, cold world. Let there be peace, unity. The Lord is our shepherd. Heal families who have lost loved ones and are hurting everywhere. We need you Lord now more than ever.

God please help us. We are living in the last days. If you don’t know Jesus I pray you seek and find him today. He’s coming back soon. Stay prayed up. Come into a right relationship with God. Be ready when Jesus returns.

Father you know what it is we need. Dispatch your angels. God send healing, deliverance, strength in your provision. Let us not lose trust in Your Divine Providence. Place a shield of protection around us. Let no hurt, harm or danger come. We are covered by the blood of Jesus.

I come against every lying tongue that rise against us shall not prosper. We are more than conquerors. Send fresh anointing as we make our way. Lord Jesus have your way in this place today. “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil” (1 Peter 3:12).

Father God I thank you, glorify you, and magnify your name. Bless your name Lord. Bless your name. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. #PrayForCharleston #CharlestonStrong

National Day of Prayer 2015 – Prayer Warriors Pray For Peace, Healing, And Restoration For The Nation

National Day of Prayer 2015 APrayer has power. Prayer changes things. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).

In observance of National Prayer Day, as we gather together collectively and individually seeking God’s divine intervention, please take a moment to pray for peace, restoration, healing, the leaders, government officials, those in authority, and every family across the nation everywhere.

This year’s theme: “Lord, Hear Our CryHear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day” (1 Kings 8:28). Pray according to God’s will that his will, not ours, be done.

With all that is going on, this is a crucial time for our nation. Prayer is needed. We can change the world through our prayers. Pray for everyone. Earnest prayers will have powerful results. God hears the prayers of the righteous. He will answer.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). Make a joyful noise. Pray without ceasing.

Here’s Something to Think About. Think on These Things. Believe in the Power of Prayer. Prayer Changes Things

wpid-img_20150130_075733.jpg“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things” (Philippians 4:8)

Prayer changes things is not a myth. It’s a fact. Think about it. When you thought you’d lose your mind and prayed, God showed up unexpectedly. He turned things around in your favor. He made the crooked places straight. He worked it out in your favor. Prayer works.

Make a joyful noise. Pray without ceasing. Glorify God. No matter what you encounter today, give it to God. Whatever the enemy sends today, return it back to the sender; undelivered! James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (ESV)

When you feel discouraged and fear the design God has for you is working against you, think on these things. What is meant for evil is meant for your good. God will give you, not what you expect out of fear, or what you expect he should. God keeps his word. He will give you the expectations of your faith; the end he has promised. Do what is in your control. God knows best. Pray, leave everything up to God. Let him handle the rest.

Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the Lord!

wpid-img_20150103_075451.jpgIn times of trouble, when you feel you need God most, keep praying. Have a little talk with Jesus. Tell him about your troubles. He will hear you. He will answer.

At times, God may seem far away. Regardless what it looks like, know that he is right there with you. He’s just a prayer away.

Walk by faith and not by sight. Let your light shine. Be the light. Use your God given gifts well. Be the best YOU can be. Be a blessing!

I pray, as Paul prayed, that you know God better. Know Jesus Christ. Seek the Lord through prayer. Study His Word. Spend time with Him daily.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. We serve a might God. No matter how big your problems are, God is bigger. Glory Hallelujah!

God I Know This May Sound Silly But I Have One Small Request Please – Don’t Ever Stop Loving Me

I know you will never forsake me. I am so in love with you. But there are times when I feel alone as though you’re not with me. I know you love me too.

And though I know you are here, all I ask of you, please… don’t ever stop loving me. Thank you.

If God Gave Each of Us What We Truly Deserved, We Would Be In Big Trouble

wpid-img_20140621_215233.jpgOftentimes when we want answers right away it’s usually when we’re hurt, impatient, and angry. God will challenge us to see how we handle it. In order to get to where you’re going you have to go through places you will not want to. You’ll have to come out your comfort zone to get through.

If God can’t trust you with little things, how can he trust you with much? Don’t despise small beginnings. It can lead to great endings.

In everything that you are masters of and those things you cannot master, your desires, failures, mistakes, and circumstances, commit them to God the Master. Trust Him. Let him know, “I trust you Lord.” His grace is sufficient.

At times, when you’re going through and it seems God isn’t listening or he is not there. He’s listening. Are you listening for the still small voice? When it seems God is silent, it’s not that he is. It may be that we’ve stopped listening. God speaks to us through his word. Study the Word. Listen.

When we commit everything to the Lord, burdens of life cease to be ours and become His. He’s a problem solver. We’re free from life’s problems. Put faith in action. When you put it in God’s hands, take your hands off it and let him do his work as only he can. Trust Him. God can move mountains.

You are as good as can be expected but greater than can be expected, when you expect the unexpected from God. You have to think yourself happy in the midst of the storm. When you’re thinking, you should also be thanking God you’re able to stand strong.

People will disappoint you every day. They’ll try to frustrate God’s purpose and make you question your calling. Don’t let them. Walk in your destiny. Walk on purpose.

If God gave each of us what we truly deserved, we would be in big trouble. His grace and mercy saves us. It is a gift. Be grateful to Him. We’re all battling something that seems impossible to overcome. We get tired and want to give up. Stay the course. Persevere. You’ll be glorified in Christ Jesus.

God is Concerned About You. He Wants the Best For You

wpid-wp-1399990506754.pngAnything that concerns you, concerns God. He wants the best for you even when life seems hard. He knows best. Cast your cares upon him. Find rest.

When afraid, God is a shelter. He’s a refuge; a present help. Trust Him. He will wipe every tear away. Have faith. Trade your fears for faith.

You may have lost some things and felt like all was lost. Thank God. You still have Him and all he gives. And that’s more than enough.

In a crisis, petition God in prayer. Our problems are God’s opportunities. No problem is too big for Him. Pray for guidance. He’ll answer. He’s always there.

Where God plants you is where you will grow. When you refuse to take root where he plants you, you will not grow. Where God plants the seed, God makes the seed grow.

The devil got a glimpse of what’s coming and decided to form an attack against you. He knows what God is getting ready to do. Your breakthrough is on the way. Rebuke that spirit! Glory!

Passion Week – Fasting and Prayer: My Time with God

Saturday, i began preparation of my heart and mind in advance to fast and pray. I will be taking a break from social media. My sacrifice: no social media until 4/20. Please keep me in your prayers. Pray, Let God Have His Way

wpid-textgram_1386044142.pngWe live in a world that ideally, would have been perfect when God created it but in the beginning something happened at no fault of our own but because God had a greater purpose to be fulfilled.

We must examine the world we live in and use that as an example of what we will choose and allow to dictate our lives. There is too much going on in this world that we must not allow it to dictate our actions but instead allow God to guide us in it. Prayer is key. Opinions are important but should be done in private with God because what it will do is diminish the potential for greater conflict when we as humans misinterpret the thoughts or actions of others.

God is a God of order and peace, not the author of confusion. When we begin to expose our flaws, there is no peace nor is God in that situation. It doesn’t matter what the world may think of us, but what matters is what God thinks of us. This in turn should build the very foundation upon the manner in which we live, act, or think in every situation. We must go to God in private to express our fears, our flaws, and our frustration. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. When there’s no peace, there is no joy. We mustn’t work against one another but do our best to love one another just as God loves us.

When we find ourselves faced with conflict or adversity, the best response is to be silent and pray. Give our troubles to God and let him have his way. We are all flawed. We live in a fallen world but there is a God who has all power and is sovereign. He will and can fix any problem. It is up to us to let him. Ask God for forgiveness, then forgive yourself. Forgive others that you may be forgiven. Don’t give the enemy power God has already given.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. In all things, let God’s will and not your will, be done. Speak not from emotions or feelings but from the heart. If that may seem impossible to do, take it to God in prayer. Let Him handle it.

“God I pray for healing, peace, comfort, and strength. Send fresh anointing. Where there is sickness send healing, where there is confusion send peace, where there is brokenness, set the captives free. Break every chain Lord, loose any and everything that is keeping us from bringing glory to you. Forgive us for we know not what we do. Let us find strength through you when the enemy comes seeking to destroy or take away what we know belongs to you. When we’ve done all we can do, we will stand. God I put it all in your hands. Let your will be done. We’re covered by the blood. Let not the troubles of this world consume us with evil deeds but fix our hearts and minds to do what pleases you. In all things, let us bring glory to you. We all are broken but we can be healed. God you are a mind regulator, a heart fixer, by your stripes we are healed. I lift every family in prayer. Keep watch over us. We are covered by the blood. In all things Father, I give you glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We Are Commissioned By Christ!

The Great Commission Matthew 28The devil cannot control any part of your life that God does not give him permission with limited access. He needs God’s permission to gain access. And when God gives him permission, his access is limited. God will allow what must be, to see fulfillment of what he commission. Truth be told, the devil has no control. God is in full control.

Jesus appeared before his disciples in Galilee before he ascended into heaven and gave them these instructions, ‘Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)

Jesus commands us to take action in our faith anywhere he sends us. Just as His disciples were instructed to go out in the world to proclaim and teach the gospel of God’s kingdom. We are followers of Christ. We are to witness, reach the masses, and lead others to Christ. Fulfill Jesus’ command as he specifically instructed. Teach, baptize. Make disciples.

Be attentive to the Holy Spirit. You have the ability to make significant contributions to help complete the “The Great Commission.” Advance God’s kingdom. Intercede on behalf of others with prayer. Prayer is spiritual warfare. Discern the attacks of the enemy. Defeat any and all devious plans of the enemy. Rebuke that spirit. Take back all the enemy thinks is his. Everything in the earth is God’s, not his.

We’re on high alert. Devil, you’ve been warned. You have been served notice. You are forewarned. Whatever devious plans or tricks you have up your sleeves, you will be defeated. We serve a mighty God. Thank you Jesus!

We are commissioned by Christ! It is our mission to share the gospel, teach, baptize, make disciples, and bring others to Christ. Follow Jesus’ command as instructed. Obey and follow his instructions.

Fasting and Prayer, Transformation; Divine Manifestation!

Matthew 6Fasting and prayer has become a monthly personal devotion for me but in the past sixteen days I participated in my church’s fast with purpose, discipline, sacrifice, and prayer to God seeking transformation, a renewed spirit, and growth. Yesterday was the last day of the fast.

Before I went to bed last night I positioned myself to indulge in sweets and meats as soon as the fast ended. I put a box of Junior Mints on my bed and knew which meat I was gonna eat at 12:01 am. However, I slept through the night, woke this morning and didn’t have a desire for any of it.

I prayed daily making my requests known to God. I may not have seen immediate results of my prayers during the fast but in my obedience, not my sacrifice, I still worshipped God. I learned fasting not only disciplines but it cleanses and removes the desire of a want for what we believe we need when in actuality we don’t. It is just a want.

We sacrifice. We are obedient. But somewhere during all that, we change. I call it growth. We become familiar with the unfamiliar where God moves us from comfortable and complacency out of our comfort zone to growth and transformation. It is what he calls us to do; grow.

Prayers may not yet have been answered and immediate results may not yet have occurred but are already taking place in the spiritual realm. Spiritually, inside we change. We grow. We draw closer to God. Amazing!

Some things will not go out by prayer alone but by fasting and prayer. You may not see change immediately, but something is already happening spiritually. And the breakthrough will not happen until God knows you’re ready for it. It’s coming. Thank you Jesus!

Now I’m ready for what’s next. Transformation before elevation. I hope you are too. Growth. This is what fasting and prayer will do for you.

Don’t Let Spiritual Warfare Keep You from Living Your Best Life

John 5When in spiritual warfare, the battle is fought in the mind, the emotions, and the will. Let a renewed mind, filled with God’s truth be your defense.

You can’t live your entire life running away from yourself. Eventually the journey of life will force you to face the truth about yourself.

When you say, “God I need.” God says, “I will supply all your needs.” When you say, “But God I can’t.” God says, “In my strength, yes you can.”

Misery loves company. There are people who only want to see you fail. Not because of you but because of their past failures. They believe they need company. With God, you’re in great company.

When you’ve been wronged, feel discouraged, or depressed. Know you’re not alone. It’s just a test. God is there. His silence is His answer.

When you pray, God answers your prayers. It may not be in the way you want it to be. God knows what you want. He will supply all your needs. God will answer your prayers according to his will. Let your prayers be not your will, but ask according to God’s will.

The person you see today is not the same person you saw yesterday. God met every need. You’ve got a testimony. Let the world know. Tell it!

Yesterday I felt defeated. Today I’m claiming victory. I decree and declare, I’m walking in victory. My breakthrough is coming. It’s on the way. I’m speaking it. I’m claiming it. I got the victory. Glory!

Life is what you make of it. Make the best of it. Be encouraged. Live your life to the fullest. Be the best in it! Ask and you shall receive. Believe!

Don’t let spiritual warfare keep you from living your best life. Walk in your destiny. Live your best life!

Calling All Prayer Warriors, Please Say a Prayer

Our Thoughts And Prayers Are With You #2I know this picture looks familiar but with all that is going on in the world the past few days. I couldn’t help but share a revised copy of it again today. In remembrance of those who have lost loved ones. To let them know we’re thinking of and praying for them.

There are times when I can’t look at the news and find myself far removed from things that trouble me. But today was a day I couldn’t help but hear and see news of violent storms and yet again unspeakable tragedy. That took the lives of innocent people in a certain part of the nation. Now my heart is saddened and my soul has been stirred and shaken.

Once again tragedy has struck and taken lives of the innocent. God, I know I mustn’t ask when it all will end, because some things will continue to happen because of the fallen world we live in. I can’t keep up with all that’s going on in the world. The best thing I can do is pray for the loss of innocent souls. As well as those whose mind may have left momentarily because of the enemy, who may have convinced them only to confuse them that their life and the life of others needed to end.

Father, please forgive them for they know not what they do. Father, I ask that you cover them because of what they unknowingly may have done to hurt others and disobey you. I pray for the family who is now left bewildered and distraught and left behind. Trying to figure out what happened to bring about this tragic time.

My prayers are with the victims and families of senseless tragedies and violent storms that continue to occur across the nation. God send comfort, peace, and healing in light of devastation. Jesus, be a fence. May the blood of the Lamb protect them. I pray for strength of families who have lost loved ones, no matter the circumstance which they’ve lost loved ones. God calm the troubled waters of those who will cry endlessly, because of pain felt so deeply. Heal the hearts of those who may feel distraught, because of a void that has left a hole in their hearts. Peace be still. Heal their hearts.

God I know you are healer. You are a strong tower. You are God Almighty in every waking hour. Surround the homes of every family and friend. Dispatch angels of mercy to cover them. Your grace is sufficient no matter the tide. Let the hearts of those affected by tragedy be healed in the face of those who have been hurt, who are lost, or who have died. You are God all by yourself. For every family across the nation you are a present help. This is my prayer I pray. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Here’s a candle and a comforting scripture to let you know across the nation we are saying a prayer and thinking of you. We are praying for you.

Calling all prayer warriors, please say a prayer. Light a candle. Let them know God is there. Say a prayer for every family and victim across the nation everywhere. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matt 18:20). God hears the prayers of the righteous. May the peace of God be with them.

My Offering For Healing and Peace – Tamela Mann “Take Me To The King”

This song serves as my inspiration today. The devil has been so busy, even as I share these words today. All week he’s been attacking my mind and working against me. To the point he’s trying his best to kill, steal, and destroy me. But I won’t let him get to me. I know God’s got me.

Even though I work to encourage, I too get tired. I’ve been sick and tired of being sick and tired. He’s made many attempts, trying to operate in my life. The devil is an adversary trying to convince me I am unworthy. Because he knows I have been  in despair, riddled with strife.

Satan tempts us when he knows we are going through. To see how much we trust God when we’re going through. But if we know God and we make it through. It is evidence our trust in God brought us through.

He catches us at our lowest point and thinks he will win. But he has no authority in our lives. God wins. Thankful God Is Faithful! We woke up on this side of heaven. We have a portion of our health and strength. His mercy endures forever.

I don’t know who this is for even though I know it’s for me, I pray this song helps someone to hold on no matter what the circumstance or the situation may be. I pray this song encourages you. Please let it inspire and lift you up. A song that may help to ease your heavy burdens no matter if you’re feeling distraught.

God is with us always. He knows and hears our prayers. I pray that he hears my plea in the words I share. That it may heal your heartache and pain. I pray for wholeness. Know that God is with you in spite of the pain.

You may not have much to bring to God. And come empty handed with empty faces. You may be broken in all your lonely places. With feelings of emptiness, feeling as if you don’t belong. The best I can offer you on this day is this song. It is a revelation to the pain I, as many others may be experiencing. And feel alone and cannot see God in anything. There’s no one to count on. But know that God is there. He is listening.

Take this song and use the lyrics as a source of hope no matter what you’re going through. Go to God, talk to him. Let it be between him and you. May your soul find rest. Listen to the words and a brief verse and chorus I included as Tamela Mann puts it best:

“Father, I come against every attack of the devil. I bind the hands of the enemy. And even though we don’t deserve it, send your angels of grace and mercy. Count us worthy. Cancel every assignment. Remove anything that is not of you. Your Word is the only thing we can count on to make it through. We give all praise, honor, and glory to you. Right now, we claim the victory! It’s already done. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Your Will will be done. I seal this prayer in Jesus name, Amen.”

My Prayer for Today

I woke up with this on my heart, armed with God’s mighty weapons of warfare today. Because the enemy’s in full force and he didn’t come to play.

He’s come to kill, steal, and destroy. We mustn’t let him steal our joy. He knows we are believers. We’re covered by the blood. He knows we are children of God.

He’s pulling every trick in the book to divide us. That he may separate us from that which God has predestined, foreknew, and preplanned that concerns us. But he doesn’t stand a chance. No weapon, formed against us shall prosper.  Devil, you’ve been served notice today. We bind you under our feet as I pray:

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus not asking for anything. But thanking you in advance for everything. Command the enemy to flee. Place him under our feet. Cancel every assignment. Erase self-doubt. Go through every house. Lord God, send healing, deliverance and provision in our time of need. Father you know what it is we need.

Meet every need in your provision. Let us not lose trust in Your Divine Providence. Dispatch your angels to protect us. We are covered by the blood of Jesus. I come against every lying tongue that rise against us shall not prosper. We are more than conquerors.

The race isn’t given to the swift, battle to the strong, but to those who will endure. Bless your name Lord. Father, I thank you for brand new grace and mercies. Thank you for waking us up on this side of heaven. Thank you for loving and blessing us. Your love endures forever.

Lord, help us to recognize and discern when people come into our life they are there to perfect us, because they are not perfect. You will make our way perfect. God, I thank you for perfecting in them and me, in the midst of our trials even when we cannot see. The Spirit of Holiness that dwell within me. Send fresh anointing as we make our way. Lord Jesus, have your way in this place today. Father God I thank you, glorify you, and magnify your name.

I pray this prayer, in Jesus name. Amen.

Whew…. Now I feel better! Praise the Lord.

Listen To The Cry of A Silent Victim

I’m going off subject again today.
My mind’s scattered. Thoughts are all over the place.
I woke to some disturbing news the other day
And have not been able to sleep or shake it all week.
I tried to put it in the back of my mind, but something is not letting me.

It keeps surfacing in my thoughts so I must release it to clear my head.
Things like this cannot be left unsaid.

My heart is heavy laden.
An innocent teenager took his life the other day.
He sent a message on a well-known social media platform
Earlier that morning, that same day
No one paid attention.
All I could do was pray.

He posted a goodbye in the wee hours of the morning.
So it definitely was not a time during heavy traffic where it could not be noticed.
Sadly, there were many clicks on “likes” by his friends.
I’m confused. Why didn’t anyone see the warning signs then?

He seemed uneasy and restless. He blamed himself for the mess.
He apologized before whatever was planned by him to happen
Clearly during his time of distress.
He seemed unhappy, as tears welled in my eyes.
Then he ended the post and said goodbye.

My heart sank. Tears of sorrow filled my face as I cried.
It took all the strength I had to accept what I knew already happened. He died.
I know he either had parents or someone who cared about him
That could have been notified.
This child was clearly crying out for help before he took his life and died.

Social media has a massive process of notification for everything:
Mentions, promotional ads, retweets, even notice of ones who are trending.
Even more disturbing is how easy it is
For officials to track and catch potential culprits in a place like this.

But when it comes to things like this, sadly there’s no app for it.
Why isn’t there an alert to track key words of potential suicide victims?
Who may connect to lines to aid in suicide prevention?

My prayers are with this young man’s family.
My heart aches and is torn in pieces.
It hurts tremendously.
Words cannot express the sadness or pain I feel.
I pray for peace, comfort, strength; that his family may be healed.

While I cannot blame social media for the events that have occurred,
I can only hope that in the same way we use social media to spread the word.
Not only of events that matter most to us,
But place a greater significance on things such as this that should disturb us.

Not that we may find recognition or potential success.
But because it is imperative we find a way to take notice of things such as this.
In the hopes we may help save a life.
Assured it is not remiss but will help because of our sacrifice.

This child’s life may have been saved
Had someone taken responsibly and taken the time to carefully read his words
And took heed to his warning.
Instead of ignoring and acknowledging his effort by clicking “likes,”
When he silently cried out for help before ending his life.

Suicide is a serious issue oftentimes I feel we fail at recognizing; miserably.
We don’t take it seriously.
We ignore the warning signs after it’s too late.
If only someone will only listen to the cry of a silent victim before it is too late.

Let this be an example of what we can do
As a society to rightfully help potential suicide victims make it through,
In a platform that gets the most attention.
Use social media to your advantage, to get the right attention.

If we take heed to the warning signs when it comes to saving a life.
We can be the person that may help save a life.
Know that a cry out for help clearly calls for our attention.
Let social media not be just to gain potential followers,
But alert anyone that will listen.
Listen to the cry of a silent victim.

God, I know you’re listening.
Please hear my prayers as I pray.
For the family and friends of those

Comfort them in their time of need.
Restore whatever strength they may have lost.
Help the family find peace.
Give them hope for tomorrow.
Assure them all is not lost.

God, I know the pain may be unbearable.
And it may be hard for them to overcome.
But I know you can and will help them get through this.
No matter how hard it may be for them. Let your will be done.

To be absent with the body is to be present with the Father.
Though, they will be sorely missed.
Bring the family to a place where they can receive joy in knowing this.
And understand they are in a better place and is no longer in pain.
They don’t have to cry another tear or feel sorrow ever again.

God may the family find rest in your arms.
Hold them safely in your hands.
Handle them with care.
Comfort them as only I know you can.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Keep the Faith!

It amazes me when I can see the joy and delight in the eyes of my children and expression of thankfulness for my prayers and faith in God when they can’t imagine how or why things turn out the way it does.

There are times I feel as though they are not listening or hear me when I profess my faith and speak about God and assure them he is in control. But this was evidence I am doing just what I’m supposed to no matter how they may respond.

As a parent, I believe we must never give up on our children no matter what they do or who they choose to become. It is because of our prayers and constant guidance that will eventually lead them in the direction they are to go with God at the helm. It may not happen instantaneously, but trust me it will happen at some point and time in their lives. Faith and prayer is the answer.

I received good news the other day and in it, I was told “It’s crazy how much Faith you have and each and every time you tell me about GOD gone see me through, he does. Your prayers help. You and GOD have my back.” A smile as wide as the ocean swept across my face as I immediately looked up to God and said, “Thank You Lord!” This made my night.

You see, I was overwhelmed after trying to figure out how to do something that literally took me all day and drained me physically. My mind was clouded with uncertainty. I was weary. I had overdone it in my efforts and was hurting all over the place. Feelings of defeat had overcome me and I wanted to quit being a voice because it was too much work and required more energy than I have. Out of my frustration, I began to think, this is too much for me to handle. Maybe I ought to give it up and throw in the towel.

Then something amazing happened. After reading what I thought was one of the most touching expressions of love, I cried tears of joy. I couldn’t help but shout out to God, “Thank you! You are so good to me, even when I fail to be as good to myself.” I was overjoyed. And all I could think of was how fortunate I am not only to be a mother that prays and believe in the power of God, but a person of unshakable, unmovable, unrelenting faith in God.

Not a moment goes by I don’t pray for my children, my mother, my father, my grandchildren, my family, and my friends and families across the nation. I believe prayer is essential for our existence. But I began to remember something my sister reminded me of. She said, “This is your ministry. And I believe it’s what God has called you to do. You seem to flourish in it in spite of challenges with your health. Your words encourage, inspire, and empower others. Keep doing what you do. Because I know from comments I receive from pastors and friends that you are blessing others. And it is blessing me too.”

This in turn led me to wonder, “Now how could I take matters into my own hands and stop what God clearly has ordained?” Confirming what it was God was saying to me. “You are more than a conqueror. There is still a work for you to do. I wouldn’t bring you this far just to leave you.” Your work here is not in vain. Yes, you may get tired, frustrated, and sometimes react out of your flesh. You may even get sad from time to time when it seems like others are not listening. It doesn’t matter. I am. I know, I see, and I hear everything you say and do. And no matter how you may feel in this moment, know that I care for you. It may get hard but I won’t give you more than you can bear. Trust me. Keep the faith. I always will be there.

When we are faced with extenuating circumstances that are beyond our control, no matter what we see or may be facing in our lives, we are to call things that are as though they were. Have faith.

Much like Abraham, our lives are marked by mistakes, sins, failures as well as wisdom and goodness, but we are to remain consistent in our trust in God. Although his faith wavered more than once, Abraham chose to believe in the unknown. In God he trusted. He believed God would do as he promised. And it was credited to him by God who declared him righteous. His faith was justified.

Follow Abraham’s example and this is what it will do. God will provide and give us strength to do the impossible in whatever he calls us to do. The obstacles we face will be the catalyst that strengthens our faith and will show in our actions. Abraham looked to God, obeyed Him, and waited for God to fulfill his word with the answer. We, too, are to do the same.

We may lose our way sometimes and become discouraged when things seem out of control but always look to God, for he is in control. This not only applies to you but to me too because had I continued to look at myself as an only resource, I would have given up in despair too. And I would have missed the opportunity to do. What God has predestined and called me to do. I looked to God believing he will see me through. All glory to God. There’s nothing he can’t do.

I am a strong woman of faith and in every instance of my life I constantly rely on God’s power to complete his work no matter the strife. I never rely on the word of man because I am a firm believer God has the final say. He is the master planner. God is the master of our fate. Things may go according to what we plan when we take steps to make it happen. But for reason we may never comprehend, God will allow things he preordained to happen. In the end, the final results will be as God planned. Trust God. On his word, stand.

Say a Prayer Today

My heart is saddened by news of today’s act of nature and the only thing I ask is that you please pray for the families and victims who have been affected by the devastation.

A tornado struck Oklahoma City today that took the lives of at least 51 people including 20 children and at least seven children who drowned in a pool of water at Plaza Towers Elementary school.

My heart is breaking. I’m weary. But all I can say, although we don’t know what’s going on with the world today, fervent prayers are needed for our nation. It’s becoming a common occurrence just about every week, news of a natural disaster that’s taking the lives of many people.

While we may not understand any of it, please pray for God’s protection to help them get through it. In the wake of devastation, pray for God’s covering for every victim and family who has lost loved ones and homes that have been totally destroyed to pieces.

We need you now Lord more than ever. You’re the only answer. Let our prayers be heard. Send healing, anointing in the midst of the storm.

God, surround the people of Oklahoma City with your favor as a shield.
Send your angels to every home that they may be healed.
May your grace and mercy abound.
In the midst of devastation, please be a fence all around.
I pray for comfort, strength, and peace for those affected by today’s tragedy.
Surround them with everlasting mercy.
God, may they find peace in Jesus’ name. Amen

National Day of Prayer – May 2, 2013

The nation will gather together May 2, 2013 to commemorate National Day Of Prayer.

Please join in as millions of Americans and prayer intercessors across the nation pray collectively for America.

With all that we are seeing around us, America needs God’s intervention now more than ever. We are in need of healing, restoration, peace, unity, and deliverance.

No matter our differences or personal preferences, let us stand in agreement and gather in unity as we intercede in prayer on behalf of the world. Prayer changes things. And with prayer, we can transform the world. We can make a difference.

While we are to pray every day, wherever you are or whatever you may be doing, please take a moment to do whatever you can to share in this important National Day of Prayer. Be it corporately or individually, pray on behalf of the nation for deliverance and peace.
