Trials Are Preparation for God’s Purpose. Don’t Regret the Process. Trust God. It’s Handled. You Are on Your Way to Something Greater!

God Will Deliver JoaynnSorry for the long post… God sent me a gentle reminder.

Do you notice sometimes when you’re being impatient and you pray and ask God for patience, he will send you trouble to train you? Or sometimes when you’re desperate and you pray and ask God for deliverance, he will send you trouble to develop you? He is preparing you for what’s to come. Your faith will be tested before he promotes you to your next level of destiny.

What if behind closed doors that held utmost secrets of what has not gone right in your life compelled you to think about these things? All the, “If I would have, should have, could have” or “had not, could not, or should not” have done, and it seems like you’re going in circles hoping something changes for the better but nothing’s happening? What or where would your life be if you were given another chance to do things differently? Would you do it? Would it matter? What do you think? Is it mind over matter? Or could it be your perception of what could have been better? Or what if it seems like it won’t get better? Now what?

What I’ve discovered in this thing called life, for every season there is a trial to test your faith in God or trouble will come to test your endurance. How we handle the evidence of change will determine our success. Or even our failure. It’s all in our perception. There is nothing God does not allow or ordain without his permission. Acceptance is key to understanding how we respond to some or all situations. I call it “Mindset Matters.”

The next time you’re feeling defeated and it seems like nothing and I mean nothing is going right or it looks like there is no way out of your situation. Remember we serve a mighty God that can and will do the impossible. Don’t think about “what you would have, could have, should have, or had not done.” Change your mindset. Accept trials as preparation for God’s purpose to be fulfilled in your life. The process will be painful but it is required. It may take longer than you expect, but it will be necessary to go through to get to where God needs to take you in your next level of destiny.

Get your mind right. Ponder on the goodness of God. Don’t get impatient with God. Don’t give up. Persevere. Wait on Him. Don’t question why you’re going through the inevitable, why bad things keep happening, nothing’s changing for the better, or trials seem to be getting more difficult without any results. Because sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for it. God is looking for your faithfulness. Trust Him in the process. Don’t regret past decisions you’ve made or live in the past only to miss out on your future. Rejoice in the Lord. Look at God! You made it. Walk in your calling.

There’s a time and a season for everything under the sun. God’s timing is perfect. Trust Him. #Selah

Your Purpose is Predestined. When God Confirms A Thing, He Will Reveal It. Stay Ready!

Becoming The Person JoaynnOftentimes it amazes me when God wakes us in the wee hours of the morning to bring something to our attention he needs us to know. And will lead us to a word that will confirm his purpose and reveal his promises.

There is not a moment in our lives when we will not face trials or trouble meant to distract, destroy, or deter us from reaching our destiny. We become fearful and lose faith. We stumble and fall. We want to stay in our comfort zone because it’s easier to manipulate the known rather than face the unknown.

But God has a way of coming at us in our comfort zone to get through to us. He wants to push us out of the box into the marvelous. Transition and life changes can be the most challenging experiences for us. Yet these moments are times testing our faith. Be not discouraged. It’s for a greater purpose.

Tests transforms us as diamonds in the rough. I believe trials and transformation go hand and hand together. Trials are part of the refining process to build our faith and strengthen us. They don’t define us. They refine us. God uses trials to develop our character. Be open to life changes. You never know. That trial you’re going through can be a part of God’s big plan for you. Stay ready, willing, and able.

If you are faced with a situation or circumstance beyond your control or a life change you are uncertain of. And you begin to stumble or fall, remind yourself of the mighty God we serve. He is able to do the impossible. He is in control.

Be immovable, steadfast no matter what it looks like today. You are an overcomer. Persevere in your faith. God will reward your obedience. Stand firm. Believe the Word of God. Be not dismayed. God got you! #Selah

Backslider Huh? Yes Enemy, I Most Certainly Am. Don’t Be Afraid to Admit That You Are. God is Married to the Backslider. Ain’t That Good News!

Hey Backslider Joaynn#MyMyMyMonday

Listen, the devil is on a mission every day. He’s so bold and conniving. And won’t stop at nothing to frustrate God’s purpose. You already know.

Be bolder! Stop him in his tracks. Don’t forget God’s promises. Clap back. Tell him, “Get outta here with that mess!”Th e God I serve ain’t having it.

My God is faithful. I’m so glad. God is married to the backslider. Ain’t that good news!

Stop Looking for Validation or Approval From Others. Jesus Didn’t Need It. You Don’t Either!

Keep Doing It JoaynnOftentimes we can get so caught up when looking for approval or acceptance from others in order to walk in the calling God has specifically established for us. Validation from others is not required. Jesus didn’t need it. Nor do we.

The opinions of others is not a mandate to follow the call of God. It’s okay to take it into consideration when given but it’s not required to act on it. Nor is it a necessity to follow your heart. The Holy Spirit will make an impression on your heart and lead you to do what God is calling you to do. Not people. But be forewarned. When you listen to God, keep in mind you will likely get criticism and be judged by others when you don’t do what they tell you you should be doing.

Know this. When God calls you to do a work for him, he will equip you with all you need to do his WILL, not theirs. He will provide you with tools needed to complete the assignment. Not what’s on everybody else’s agenda. Everything that’s good is not always good and everything that’s good is not always bad. Discern the difference.

You may never understand all God is doing through and in you when it feels like you don’t know what you’re doing, and it looks like he’s doing nothing. Be confident of this, God knows exactly what he’s doing. Be encouraged. Keep doing what he knows you need to be doing to fulfill his purpose. Don’t quit or give up. Somebody’s watching. Stay the course. Somebody needs what you are carrying that’s been assigned by God. Keep doing it! ~Selah

Can’t See Your Way? Have Doubts? Hopeless? In Despair? What If…Why Not…Will You…Do This?? Trust God When You Can’t Trace Him!

Every Plan Joaynn.pngGod is…..faithful, sovereign, trustworthy, awesome, amazing, good, loving, marvelous, never failing, and more. So if we know all these things which clearly does not cover all who he is, then why do we worry?

When your situation seems hopeless, the least unpleasant thing happens, and you don’t know which way to turn that may cause you to doubt God, what if you were to stop right in your moment of desperation or frustration and ask yourself, “Wait a minute, time and time again when I couldn’t see no way out didn’t God work it out for the greater good?” What if….why not….will you….do this???

The moment you find yourself weary, discouraged, worrying or concerned about something you have no control over is the moment you need to give it to God, speak out loud or whisper “I trust you Lord,” and leave it there. The God I serve knows all about our troubles. And will answer in his timing. Fear is not option. Faith is. When we put our total trust in him he will work it out in our favor. What I know about God, He can do anything but fail.

Every plan has a purpose. Every promise is yes and amen. Every season has a lesson. Every trial or test is for a greater purpose. So, the next time you are fearful, start having doubts, and can’t trace God, trust Him!

Be blessed! – JD

Hey You. Yeah You! Who Does This Remind You Of? Stop…Look…Listen!

Eye On You JoaynnWe are a peculiar people, designed by God to fulfill the assignment he predestined for us. Oftentimes, life has a funny way of revealing what we miss in the very things we hope for never understanding the purpose God intended. Especially when we want something so badly and in most cases get exactly what we ask for.

We find ourselves in unfamiliar territory, facing obstacles beyond our control, and nothing is going as “we” planned. We begin to look at our circumstances and not fix our mind on things above, only to have things go to the left or to the right and ask God, “Is this from you?” But know this, no matter what it is we may ask for without God, wherever we find ourselves will be the very place God wants us to be that he may be glorified.

Yes, we will run into obstacles that will cause us to rethink our decisions and become doubtful. We will even encounter the enemy who wants nothing more than to frustrate our purpose and cause us to give up. We start telling God things that are not true like “I want to be like everyone else and not have to be at war with the devil on every level.” We struggle in our faith walk forgetting, EVERYTHING we do in this earth has a divine purpose. It is never about us. God will get the glory. Even though we asked for it.

When faced with the unknown, stop trying to figure out what went wrong. Don’t ask God, “Why me?” Ask him, “Why not use me?” Move from the “Why me” way and forge towards the “God use me” way. Wherever you are, God will use you to fulfill his intended purpose, no matter what. It just may not look like it because of what you may be focused on. Believe me, in time it will happen.

We can never understand why things happen the way they do or why unpleasant things are happening to us. Get this, it’s simple. It’s not about us. God wants what’s best for us. No matter the obstacles, do good, get better, and do your best. Let go. And let God handle the rest.

Be blessed! – JD

Psalm 139:16-17 “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! (NKJV)

Be Intentional With God! Do What You Do With Excellence, On Purpose!

Special Occasion JoaynnBe intentional! Sometimes in our busyness we have to take a moment to move away from the complexities of this world and take time to sit still in God’s presence to hear from him. In that time we will reflect on what’s important and where our priorities are when looking over our lives and all God has done.

Reflection allows us to increase awareness of who we are in Christ and what it is he requires of us that we may glorify him. Especially during times of despair, when distracted by the enemy who work to convince us we are not worthy of God’s love or can be used by him. We must remember, God set us apart for his use, not the world’s, not man’s, not our family or friends. But for him and him only.

To be intentional for God is to do all things with the right motives to please God and not ourselves. Social media serves as the platform to express God’s love to others in a way that will intentionally capture their attention that they may desire to know the God we serve. This in turn becomes our ministry as well as our witness. We are the light. Let our light shine.

We are the determinant of what will either consume us or convict or humble us. Tests, trials, and tribulations are continuous. It’s part of the process. No matter what our situation may look like on a daily basis, we are to set our minds on things above in times of trouble. When our faith is tested, we must not allow obstacles to consume us and separate us from God or his intended purpose. We are here to do a work for him to fulfill his intended purpose.

Take time out of your busy schedule to be intentional for God in your daily walk, reading of the Word, meditation, and prayer. Encourage others without an agenda. Inspire someone just because. Don’t wait for an opportunity to do it. Let social media become the platform to witness, spread love and joy in intentional ways to reach others and not a means to glorify yourself. Remember God will finish what he started. He promise. Whatever situation you find yourself in live for God. Be intentional!

Be blessed! – JD

Correcting Storms – God Disciplines Us; Perfecting Storms Develop Us

wpid-img_20140629_132023.jpgHave you ever met a person you could see right through that was full of contempt, selfishness, spite, arrogant, prideful, belligerent? And at first thought decided you didn’t like what you see? But knew inside there was nothing you could do about it outside of praying for them that God would touch their hearts and minds in their unwillingness to change? I know some of you are saying, “No, I haven’t.” And then there are some of you that have no trouble telling the truth, “Yes you have.” I know I have. I’m with you.

We may not always be obedient but when God corrects us, it’s because he loves us. Discipline may be painful. Rejoice. God’s helping us to grow for a greater purpose. God never promised there wouldn’t be storms. Storms will come. It’s not because we’ve done something wrong. He promised we’d never go through the storm alone. But when we deliberately disobey God and will cause our own demise, it’s not because of him. It’s because of us. There will be consequences to our wrong doings. Don’t blame God for it.

I’m reminded of Jonah where the text in the Old Testament tells us when we think of the story of him, we envision a man who was a prophet that was transparent. We could see imperfections right through him and in most cases, if we were to think of ourselves, it would remind us of ourselves. Blaming God when clouded by our own judgment of the things we may have done to cause our troubles. We become angry at God when we’ve done wrong. We know there are things we shouldn’t do but yet continue to do out of our disobedience to God. We think we are in control and run the world. We forget that God is in control over everything. He is the center of the earth.

Matthew 7:25-26 tells us, “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.” In this passage Jesus makes it clear: He doesn’t say if storms come. He says when the storm came, the winds blew, streams rose, beating against the house causing it to crash to the ground. The people ignored Jesus. They suffered painful consequences as a result of their disobedience.

God’s Word provides us with instructions and guides us in how we are to live a righteous life. But many of us will choose to fight against it. On the outside we put up a front pretending we are obedient to God. On the inside we are resistant. We try to avoid God’s call. We run away. We don’t want to sacrifice ourselves. We’re belligerent. And think we can nullify God’s call by feeling sorry for ourselves. We can try to do all we can to resist God’s call. It doesn’t matter. Know this. God will accomplish his purpose, even through unwilling servants.

Sometimes God allows storms of correction to disciple us. God is speaking to us. When God sends perfecting storms, he’s developing us to grow. Listen. Obey. Abide in his word.

No matter what happens, choose to follow God. It will bring great benefits and rewards. If you turn from him, it will bring suffering. Follow Him. You will learn obedience from what you may suffer.

Be blessed! –JD

Hebrews 5:8-98 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him” (ESV)

Don’t Give Up. God Won’t Give Up On You. He Will Complete the Work He Begun in You

wpid-img_20140613_003405.jpgSometimes we will neglect ourselves and in doing so will neglect our spiritual life. In turn, it will cause us to stray. It’s okay. Don’t give up. God is a restorer. Glory!

People expect too much from believers and not enough from themselves. We too, are human and at times will fail. God’s love is unconditional.

For days, I found myself losing myself, neglecting my prayer life and spiritual devotion. Thoughts weighed heavily on my mind. I became dissatisfied because I was becoming who I knew I was long ago. I told the devil, you got to go!

I prayed hard and asked God to help me and reveal to me, things within myself I was failing to see. God is faithful. He revealed it to me. He sent the answer immediately, right away. I’m walking in newness. Today is a brand new day.

The devil cannot take away what dwells inside my spirit. At times, I may falter and fall by the wayside, but I know I’m filled with the Holy Spirit. God entrusted the good deposit to me. The Holy Spirit lives in me. I will guard it with my life. Come what may, the devil will not have his way in this place today!

I have been chosen by God for a purpose. To serve God is my purpose. Devil you’ve been served notice today. Flee! Get out of my way. God will have his way.

At times life can be hard. We may grow weary. Our devotional life may suffer when weary. When God seems far away, he’s only a prayer away.

When you’re not making progress in your spiritual life, don’t give up. God won’t give up on you. He will complete the work he begun in you.

Be blessed! -JD

The Devil is Busy 365 Days A Year – God is Too. Don’t Let it Discourage You

wpid-img_20140609_102248.jpgThere are 365 days in a year. The devil will use every one of them to frustrate God’s purpose. God knows it too. He will fulfill his purpose.

Don’t let the devil discourage you and cause you to miss your blessing. You have been chosen by God. Count it all joy! Go get your blessing!

The devil can do nothing against you that God does not permit. God’s plan and purpose have been predetermined. His purpose will not fail. Nor will He fail you. Walk in your destiny. What God has for you, is for you.

Be blessed! -JD

Take a Look Around and Tell Me What Do You See?

English: A homeless person's shelter under a f...

English: A homeless person’s shelter under a fallen Willow tree along in New South Wales, Australia. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Take a look around and tell me what do you see? Do you know what life can be like for someone living in agony? But still thank God for the life they live? And they are appreciative? They are still able to maintain not because of what they see. But because even during their affliction, they still may bring God glory.

Stop and take a moment and observe the place in life you’re in right now. Ask yourself, if anything, what am I thankful for anyhow? Do you see anything that may be amiss? Or do you feel uncomfortable, sad, or is it heavenly bliss?

When I look around where I find myself now. I see people in a hurry, really going nowhere. I see homeless people that have nowhere to go because the home they once lived in is no longer there. I see people sick and in pain, lonely, have lost loved ones. I see people hurting because life to them is no longer fun. I see those that are lost, in search of answers, and can’t find their way. I see people struggling day to day. Just to make it through the day.

There’s someone having a hard time living with a sickness or a condition where they cannot care for themselves, let alone live with someone else. Or have to live in a place where someone has to care for them. And basically have no control of their life but still they win because they are still living.

Take a look around and tell me what do you see? Do you see a life that may not be what you want it to be? And find yourself in a precarious predicament. Only to feel you are spent. Since nothing’s going right according to you. But to God it is right where he needs you.

Be thankful. Don’t take life for granted. Even if you are living a life you are not accustomed to, don’t let it take hold of you. Even if you don’t agree with what’s being required of you. Don’t complain about it. Or even be mad about it. Instead, praise God. Be glad about it. Because life happens and we don’t have any control over it. And although we can take charge of it, remember God is in total control of it.

We may complain about things we don’t have or because life is not going our way. But remember, in the life of someone else it could be worse than we could ever feel on any given day. There is someone, somewhere, who right now is in the fight for their life. They are not living in paradise. As they struggle to stay alive.

Needless to say, once we die. We are taken away from this earth permanently. We won’t ever again have an opportunity, to live life abundantly. One God gave us for free. We won’t ever wake again. To make the best of a life we once took for granted.

Thank God wherever you are in the face of adversity. Take it all in stride with humility. Humble yourself. Know it is part of God’s plan. Everything we encounter has a purpose and is better than. What we can imagine. Don’t despair. It is a privilege to be there, where you are. Be thankful to God that he brought you to it. Make the best of it.

Take a look around and tell me what do you see? Even though life may not be what you want it to be. Remember there are so many people that are much worse off than you or me. Count it all joy!

Be blessed! -JD

James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Grateful I’m Connected

Spent the day with one of my long-time friends discussing projects we’re working on with the goal to put in motion by year end or start of next year. Its been a long time since I’ve been so inspired and motivated to move in the direction I know God’s leading. Its liberating. #ProductiveDay

God put people in our path and allow things to happen for reasons we may never comprehend. We may never understand… Its all part of his plan.

Thank you God for godly connections. It is through the divine connection you will manifest in reveal of the purpose you intended. #GodsPlan

“Sometimes answers come only after long delays, other times answers may come in an unrecognized form or manner the petitioner would not have wanted.” Its the right attitudes, reverence, humility, proper motivation, and purity in effective prayer that God will answer. #BeEncouraged

Count your blessings. Have an attitude of gratitude.

Ephesians 1: 17-18 “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,” http://bible.us/Eph1.17-18.NKJV
