The Past, Present, and Future is not a Mystery

wpid-textgram_1386277478.pngThe past and present is a perception of your future reality. It’s not a mystery.

The past is a reflection of what once was. The present is the reality of what is. The future is what God promised will be. Life everlasting.

2 Peter 3:11-13 “Since everything here today might well be gone tomorrow, do you see how essential it is to live a holy life? Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day—but we’ll hardly notice. We’ll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness.” (MSG)

Don’t Hide Behind the Veil. Be Changed Inside Out. Be the light!

To keep the people from being terrified by the brightness of his face, Moses put on a veil.

“Paul adds that this veil kept them from seeing the radiance fade away. Moses and his veil illustrate the fading of the old system and the veiling of the people’s minds and understanding their pride, hardness of heart, and refusal to repent. The veil kept them from understanding references to Christ in the Scriptures” (2 Co 3:13-18). When trying to be saved by keeping the law, they became bound by rules and ceremonies. They were bound by the law.

2 Corinthians 3:13-18 tells us “when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, his face glowed after spending time with God and being in His presence.” The glory of God was revealed on Moses’ face. But it was temporary and in time, faded away. It didn’t expose people to the unveiled glory that was to come. But prepared the people and gave them a glimpse of what was to come. The veil revealed the truth. The complete unveil of God’s glory was to come in the New Testament. Knowledge of Christ removed the veil from the Old Testament.

“Moses emphasized God’s law and justice, while Jesus Christ came to highlight God’s mercy, love, and forgiveness. Moses could only be the giver of the law while Christ came to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17).” “Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. The law revealed God’s nature and will. Through Jesus Christ, God’s nature and will was revealed (John 1:17). Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, God offers us freedom from sin and condemnation. By God’s grace through faith, God offers the gift of salvation.

When we turn to the Lord, we are free to see the glory of God. We are being transformed, from glory to glory, into the image of the Lord. “Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Christ removes the veil, giving eternal life and freedom from trying to be saved by keeping laws. And without the veil, we can be like mirrors reflecting God’s glory” (2 Co 3:16).

Trust Christ to save you. Keep your focus on Him. We, unlike Moses whose glory faded away, have the glory of Jesus permanently. It’s not temporary. It won’t fade away. True meaning of Scripture is no longer hidden from us. The Holy Spirit dwells in us. Through Jesus, not through law, God’s truth is revealed. We don’t need to keep the law by rules, rituals, and ceremonies or use a veil in order to be saved. Jesus death on the cross gave us free access to God. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit has set us free forever.

When Jesus was nailed to the cross, whatever was nailed died on the cross with him. Christ nailed the Law of Moses on the cross. It ended with him. Christ is an end, not to the Ten Commandments, but to the sacrificial law. When he sacrificed his life for us and died on the cross, it ended the sacrificial law. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Co 3:17). Jesus shall make us free. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!” (Jn 8:36) Glory!

Don’t hide behind the veil because of closed minds and hardening of the hearts and cause others to miss the glory of God. Remove the veil. Uncover your face and your minds. Reveal God’s glory. Let your face openly glow. Be the light. Lead others that they may come to the knowledge of Christ and no longer be in spiritual blindness. When others see you, they will know God is in your presence. Your heart, the veil, God’s glory have been uncovered. Let the light shine through you. Let others see Jesus’ light through you. Christ removed the veil. You are being transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. That’s good news!

When I look back over my life and all God has done for me. I shout Hallelujah! God rescued me. I’ve got a testimony. Free from chains that no longer bind me. I won’t wear a veil. My face will be uncovered. People will see God’s glory and my testimony will expose his goodness.

Don’t Hide Behind the Veil. Be Changed Inside Out. Be the light!

2 Corinthians 3:13-18 “We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (NIV)

This is For You, A Mother Who Loves Unconditionally

“My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.” (Proverbs 1:8-9 NLT)

It saddens me when I read, hear, or observe children young and old of today who think life is all about them when they choose to disrespect, disobey, and disregard the value of having their mother and father.

If you were to ask, not all, but maybe one person
Whose mother or father is no longer with them what life is like without them,
They would tell you in a way you would never understand
Because you will never know
until it becomes your way of life when God takes them.

My mother always says, “Give me my roses while I’m here,
Because I can’t smell them when I’m gone”
You may think all is well and take for granted she will always be here,
But wait until she’s gone.
You will have no choice but to live without her
And all will not be as well as you thought once she’s gone.

My mother may be miles away
And while I cannot say what life will be like
When she’s no longer here on earth
I wouldn’t trade my mother, disrespect her, and disregard her advice,
Or disobey her for anything in this world.

Please know God sees everything.
He’s always listening.
And he has no problem taking away
The best ones that they may live in peace with him.

My advice to those, whose mother is still with them,
Cherish her while she’s here with you.
Believe it or not, it is her prayers every day that carries you through.
Don’t wait til she’s gone to stand at her final day of rest and say,
“Mom if I shoulda, woulda, coulda I would take it all back.”
Once she’s gone, there’s no coming back.

Stop thinking you know everything in your refusal to listen,
When she only wants what’s best for you.
Stop disrespecting her to prove a point
When in the long run, in reality,
It will have a long lasting effect on you.

Stop competing with your mother who you think is like your friends.
Your mother is God’s gift sent to you on this side of heaven.
She is not like your friends.
She’s your confidant who you should be able to confide in.
She’s your God-gifted friend.

Don’t let your pride get in the way
and cause you to miss your blessing.
Because one day, when it’s too late
when she’s taken up on the other side of heaven.
You will never get the chance to say
“I’m sorry, I forgive you and I forgive me too.”
You’ll never get the chance to hug or kiss her
Or do the things, in your stubbornness, you refused to do.
Yet, when she’s gone, she still will watch over you.
No matter what you may do to her, she will never turn her back on you.

Just try getting shot, going to prison, lose a job or friend,
Or get physically hurt to the point of death.
Try breaking a leg, stumping a toe, or meet with life’s disappointments.
She will always have your back.
She’ll embrace you with loving arms and will watch your back.

Watch how she will be there for you.
She will never stop loving you
No matter what you do to her or what happens to you.

Mothers will love you beyond death, no matter what you do to us.
That my dear ones, is what I call a mother’s unconditional love.
Cherish and treasure her.

Signed, ME

This is for you, from a mother who loves unconditionally.

Proverbs 23:22-25 “Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.23 Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. 24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.25 Let your father and mother be glad; let her who bore you rejoice.”

Proverbs 31:25-30 “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household
